Lucas sat down on Ness's couch, fiddling with his frills on the maid's outfit. He thought of something to say, like "Welcome home, Ness~!" Nah, too simple. How about; "Master, I hope you settle down well here." No way, too complex... and he didn't want Ness to take the "master" thing the wrong way. Finally, he decided to say; "Hi, Ness! How was practice?" Hopefully without stuttering.

Lucas heard footsteps and talking near Ness's door. He looked out the peephole on the door. He saw Ness there, along with someone else. But, before he could figure out who that other guy was, his face was slammed in by Ness suddenly opening the door. He fell down, his dress being messed up and his hat lopsided. Ness peered down at him, along with Villager looking down at him as well. Lucas jumped up, fixing himself up, and stammering "H-hi Ness! Welcome back Ness~! Master, please ta-take a seat and rest for a bit!" He had completely forgotten what he was going to say, but he remembered the pose. Lucas smiled weakly and was redder than Mario's hat.

Ness on the other hand, was having a small nosebleed, although he looked somewhat disturbed. Villager just stared blankly at Lucas.

There was nothing but awkward silence, until Lucas couldn't hold his balance any longer, and fell backwards onto the couch. Ness sat down next to him, and Villager knew it was time for him to leave before things got weird.

Ness grabbed a tissue, and wiped his nose. "What was that all about?" He questioned. "I could've sworn I saw Peach in that dress once-"
"Don't worry about it!" Lucas yelled. "Just l-let me get you some tea!"
"I don't have my own kitchen here, dude." Ness grabbed another tissue from his box.

Lucas started to panic. In his head, his plan sounded perfect! Now look at him, making a fool of himself in front of his senpai. It couldn't have gotten any worse than this. He looked back at Ness, who was trying to contain his nosebleed. Now was his chance to leave, before things got really awkward.

So he did.

Lucas laid on his own bed, reflecting on what has happened ever since he joined the smash crew. Ness could kick anyone's butt and look as innocent as hell whilst doing so. Lucas could get his butt kicked whilst being the innocent little boy. You could say he was frowned upon by other small, but powerful fighters, and taunted by bigger, more heavyweight fighters.

Only Ness had empathy for him.
Even then, he still felt like a disappointment. How could he prove himself as a worthy opponent? How could he get Ness to like him?

Was his thinking even worth it? Would he be able to execute his plans correctly, or even get the chance to?

Lucas started to sob at these thoughts, his tears sinking into the dress.

Knock knock.
"W-who's there?" Lucas said in between sobs.
"It's Ness. Can I come in?"
"Uh... sure... I guess."
Lucas hadn't changed out of his outfit, and he didn't realize Ness had wanted to come over. Ness opened the door, his nose lacking the tissue attached to it, and walked in. Lucas looked timidly up at his senpai, and greeted him. Ness took a seat, and put his hand on Lucas's. "I... kind of figured you were trying to impress me," He said. "And I'd like to see you in a maid dress more often."
Lucas gawked at him. "What?!"
"Nothing! Nothing!"
Lucas's heart was dancing. He wanted to kiss Ness right then in there. But, that'd have to wait.

Then, an idea came to his mind. And it was... quite strange.

Lucas licked his lips seductively, and nudged closer to Ness. "How about I just take off the dress, then what would you prefer?" He leaned his face into his, and gave him a perverted look. "Me in a revealing dress, or wearing nothing at all?"

He then realized what he had been implying with that. More than just a romantic statement, but also a slightly erotic tease. He started blushing insanely, and so did Ness.

"Dude, we're just kids. Chill." Ness groggily replied, and he wiped his eyes. "Although, watching you strip out of your clothes is an opportunity I couldn't pass up." He said under his breath. Luckily, Lucas was too busy feeling embarrassed to notice.

Lucas backed up a bit from Ness, and apologized for his stupid behavior.

"Stupid? That was cool! NO fighter could've gone through all that trouble to impress someone." Ness said in amazement. They hugged it out, and Ness went back to his room.

And at the end of the day, all he had gotten for that long, grueling process was a hug.
