After that things were pretty calm,
Jeff and the little blonde kid (who I assumed was this Ben they kept talking about)

Used to disappear for hours without telling me where they were going.
At first I thought the worst.

I had to choke down feelings of fear, all I could imagine was Jeff getting more blood on his hands...

But that wasn't what really scared me, the thing that really terrified me, was that the more blood he spills, the more wanted he is, the more likely he'll get caught.

I guess I worried that every time he left would be the last time I saw him.

Until Sally spilled a little secret.

"They're in the house silly"
She giggled as I skillfully braided her hair with my one hand.

"What are they doing?" I asked casually

"I can't tell you"
I stopped what I was doing and looked at her

"Is it bad?" I inquired grimly

She smiled broadly

"Can't say"

I gritted my teeth

I hated the fact that I couldn't just walk over and see

I felt helpless again

I know what Jeff said.
But being weak just isn't me.

I was caught between wondering what those two idiots were doing, and wondering what I could do to feel like myself again
