Mitch's POV:

First and second period were great! My two favorite subjects, English and Science, with Kirstie! But now it's third period. My least favorite subject...math...without Kirstie... This is going to be fun...

I enter the classroom and the first thing - BAM! Some blonde headed kid runs right into me, making me drop all my books and my bag (Which was open!) "Whoa! Dude! I'm so sorry!" He says, helping me pick up my stuff. This kid will be lucky if I don't smack him across the face, I think to myself as I pick up my notebook. We look up at the same time and make awkward eye contact. I couldn't help but notice how blue his eyes are... and how tall he is... It takes me a second to realize that I had been staring. Suddenly my face is on fire. "Are you alright?" He asks. I give a small quick nod and walk off.

The teacher is talking but I'm not paying attention. All I can focus on is him. Why would he stop and help me? I have seen him in the hallways and on the playground before school. He's a  jerk to everyone. A real snot. I realize that he's the one Kirstie talks about. How he's always picking on everyone. "Mitch? Would you like to answer my question?" The teacher asks. Crap, now look what you've gotten yourself into. I say to myself. "Uh-I uhm...I-" "The first three numbers of Pi are 3.14." The boy says, saving me from embarrassment. "Thank you, Scott. But next time raise your hand." The teacher says. Scott... so that's his name..."Sorry!" Scott says in a  bratty way. "Excuse me? Mr. Hoying, this is your warning..." Mrs. Perkins says with a stern look. "Whatever." Scott rolls his eyes and looks down. Mrs. Perkins clears her throat, her way of telling him to look up. "Principal's office. Now." Scott walks toward the door and is just about to walk out when he looks at me. "See you later, Grassi." He says with a wink and closes the door
