Collide|Rin

It had been years since you last saw your ex boyfriend, Rin. He moved back to Australia for college. You decided to stay in Japan and attend a school in Tokyo. You tried the long distance thing with Rin for a while, but it just didn't work out. So now you sit in your last class of the day, in your third year of college, wondering what Rin is up to.

After class is over and you're heading to your apartment, you think maybe you should text him, but there's a slim chance of a reply so you decide not to.
You enter your apartment and set down your school bag besides the door. You head into the kitchen to find something in the fridge for a late lunch. You open the door, nothing.

Guess I'll drop by the convenience store and pick up something,

Time Skip!

As you walk out of the convenience store with your groceries in hand, you spot a man who looks almost familiar at the crosswalk up ahead. You quicken your pace, and as the view of the stranger becomes clearer, part of you starts to hope that it's Rin. (As ridiculous as that sounds)

You stand next to the stranger at the crosswalk and wait. As you do this, you glance at him and try to find out who he is. But your thoughts are interrupted,

"Uhm, excuse me, but could you direct me to the college here? It's been a while since I've visited Tokyo" the man turns to you, his voice showing a bit of embarrassment.

"Yeah, you just go straight from here then you turn at the first right" you point across the street then look back at the stranger, stopping in your tracks.

"I'm sorry but, Rin? Rin Matsuoka?"

"Yeah.. Wait, (y/n)?"

"Yeah!"

"Wow it's been a while.. How have you been?"

The light changes and you two start walking across the street,

"I've been doing well, busy for sure.. How about you? How's competitive swimming treating you?"

"I've been busy too, swimming really takes up my schedule.."

"Ah, I see, well, if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing here?"

"Well, Haru and Makoto attend the college here and I thought I'd pay them a visit, ya know? What about you?"

"Oh, how nice! Well I'm here because I attend the college too, I didn't know Haruka and Makoto attended the university here. It's such a big campus.."

When you two reach the other end of the street, you stop,

"Well, my apartment is this way," you signal the direction behind you, "so I'll be going,"

"Oh, alright, you don't want me to walk you?"

"No, it's alright, you know the way to the university, right?"

"Yeah, thanks for the directions by the way"

"No problem, maybe I'll see you around? It was nice talking with you!"

"Yeah, for sure, you too.."

You turn towards the direction of your apartment and head off.

Blehhhh, that wasn't so good, maybe I'll continue it though, I don't know. The idea for this just popped up while watching devil is a part timer, like out of all places to hatch an idea... Anyways
