You sigh, look away
I can see it clear as day,
close your eyes,
so afraid,
hide behind that baby face.

It was an odd day for you, you finally mustered up the courage to confess to a boy in your class, Sosuke Yamazaki. You wrote a small letter explaining where and when to meet and bashfully gave him it, with the help of your best friend, Rin Matsuoka.
So here you were, sitting at the bench of the park nearby Samezuka High, waiting for Sosuke to come out at approximately 5:45 pm (since that's the time you wrote down he'd need to meet you) it was 5:42 pm right now, you looked up from your phone screen and inhaled deeply.

'Everything will be fine, if he does reject me at least I tried.'

You were a relatively shy person so doing something such as this, confessing your love to someone, was way out of your league. Then out of the corner of your eye you spotted Sosuke who seemed a bit lost. You checked your phone screen, which read "5:45 pm"

Just on time.

He scanned the area, noticed you and
came over in your direction.

You stand up in an awakened manner and fix up your skirt,

"Yamazaki-kun!" You blush bright red at the sight of him up close.

"Sosuke is just fine, (y/n)-san..anyway, was their something you wanted to talk about?"

"Uh, well, yes..." You look away in embarrassment, "I, I wanted to ask you if you'd like to go on a date, maybe this weekend..." You didn't realize that you had been mumbling this whole time so your voice trailed off and become inaudible to Sosuke.

"What? I can't hear you, could you repeat that?" Sosuke leans in and stares you down with his intimidating bluish-green eyes.

You quickly turn your head back around and face the tall boy. "I, uh--" your face begins to redden and heat up, you can't look him directly in the eyes.

I can't do this, I can't, he's so intimidating!--

You turn to run away but you feel Sosuke grasp your hand before you can go anywhere, and he turns you so you're facing him again.

"Well, if you don't have anything to ask, I have something I've been meaning to ask."

Eh?!

"You?--"

"(Y/n)-san, I'd like to take you out on a date."

I can't believe this, is this actually happening?

"Yes!-I'd like that as well!" You blurt

A sweet smile comes across Sosuke's lips, your heart nearly stops when you see it, "how's this Saturday then?"

"P-perfect.." You say, looking down at your shoes.

Sosuke then let's go of your hand which he'd been holding this whole time,

"Well, I guess I'll see you then, (y/n)-san, I need to go to practice now but I'll text you later."

You're left standing love struck and still in shock about how the situation went,

Wait, how will he text me? He doesn't have my number...

BONUS

"So, did you finally ask her, or did she have to ask you?" Rin teased as he threw Sosuke a towel.

"I asked her, of course." Sosuke dried his hair, and spoke with a little agitation in his voice.

"Well, it took you long enough, I was about to ask her for you myself."

"Oh whatever, you have her number don't you? I forgot to ask for it, I kind of just told her I'd text her.."

"Idiot, of course I do, she's my best friend," Rin searches through his gym bag for his phone then hands it to Sosuke, "here, find it yourself."

Lost and forgetful Sosuke is the best Sosuke,
