"Where is Hiccup going?" I mutter to myself as I watched him walk through the woods.
I followed him carefully and made sure not to be seen because I didn't want him to see me. At one point I accidentally tripped and he almost saw me. I stayed low till I thought he was gone. I then got up and continued to go after him when I heard a loud scream. A dragon scream to be exact.
"Hiccup!" I yelled and rushed to go see what had happened when something big and black shot out of the cove. Was that a...Night Fury? And was that Hiccup riding it?
"Oh my gods..." I muttered as I watched the dragon fly off. I hurried to the cove and saw it was empty.
The ground was littered with fish bones and some burn marks on the floor. Obviously this was where the dragon was nesting. But why was it here? Then I saw a trail of bootprints leading into the cove. I walked over to them and saw that they were fresh and they were coming in the direction from where Hiccup came.
"What were you doing out here with a dragon?" I asked quietly to myself.
I ran back to the village as fast as my legs could carry me all the way to Hiccup's house. I kicked the door open instead of knocking and found Sroick inside sharpening an axe.
"Astrid! What's wrong?" He asked looking up surprised.
"Hiccup.....dragon.....gone...." I gasped trying to catch my breath and stumbled inside.
"What? What about Hiccup?" Stoick asked bringing me a chair for me to sit on and a cup of water.
"Hiccup is gone. I saw him in the woods today so I followed him. I kinda didn't want him to see me following him so I had to hide. At one point I lost him and the next thing I knew when I got out from my hiding spot, Hiccup was gone and I thought I saw a dragon take him." I said after I drained the water from the cup.
"Hiccup has been kidnapped?! By a dragon?!" Stoick roared so loud that I swore the house shook.
"It must have been here on the island for days because I saw it leave the cove in the forest and saw a bunch of fish bones and burn marks everywhere in it." I added. Stoick dide say anything. He stood up from his seat and grabbed his helmet and put it on.
"I'm going to go and find him." He said shoving the door open. "Thank you for telling me about his disappearance Astrid. I really appreciate it." Then he walked out leaving me alone in the house.
"Please let him come back." I said softly looking out the door. I was not only praying for Stoick but for Hiccup and gods know how much help that poor boy needed.
