Soon the day Astrid had to leave to meet her new husband arrived. She packed up all her things including the wedding dress and arrived at the docks where all her friends were waiting.
"We're really gonna miss you." Ruffnut sighed hugging her tightly. "Please visit whenever you can."
"I'll try." Astrid promised. "I'll really try Ruff."
"If that guy doesn't treat you well you can always come back and I'll beat him bloody." Snotlout added helpfully
"Okay I'll keep that in mind." Astrid laughed.
"Write to us if it's possible!" Fishlegs added hastily. "And we'll all write back!"
"Okay I get it." Astrid laughed giving him, Tuffnut and Snotlout a hug. "But remember you're all allowed to visit me as well."
"Time to go Astrid!" Gobber called from the boat. After saying one final goodbye she leapt onto the boat and waved goodbye to the other villagers who were seeing them off.
And soon, Berk was nothing but a speck in the distance.
