Sometimes I wonder:is meeting once enough
If we can look and see a future meant for us?
Would we see sneakers and ballet pumps,
Silly selfies,smiles and hugs
Miss independent and Mr "got your back"
Can it be a good enough match?
Have we found the right one at the right time?
Salt and pepper: is different still alright?
Could different just be a word?
Why do they think we'll never work?
Will we end up proving the fact
That opposites really do attract?
Do we take our chances even for a season?
Did we cross each others' paths for a reason?
Knowing you and knowing me
It's an unsolved mystery
If we make memories to last a lifetime,
What happens if you just pass me by?
Do we risk it resulting in rapid regret
Spending years just trying to forget?
Will we be breaking up? Will once whole hearts
Be crushed and filled with ugly scars?
Would we be stealing from someone else
Who is waiting for your or my love?
Roses are red, blue is the sea
