You'll stand in my room
And watch me unpack
Glad that you finally have me back
Maybe the room will be slightly a mess
But at least I'll be there and that means you'll be blessedYou'll stand in my room
And see that it's not fit for a guest
But you'll also know that I am doing my best
You'll realise that is not really perfect
But I still live at home which makes it all worth itYou'll stand in my room
Once again theres a mess
I'll stand in the room in a pretty new dress
You wont even see that my bed is unmade
You only see the young lady who will graduateYou'll stand in my room
And look me up and down
A fine young lady making you proud
My first day at work, ready to impress
And look: my room is no longer a messYou'll stand in my room
Tears streaming down your face
As you watch me stand in a dress of white lace
Knowing its almost time to leave
I'll give you a kiss and whisper 'At least it will stay clean."You stand in my room
Still in formal wear
His arms around you so you know he is there
Together you'll look around the empty floor
As all of the memories play on the bare wallYou'll stand in my room taking one last look
The room a symbol of the journey we took
You'll smile as you realise I'll soon do the same
Stand in the room watching my own child play.

My Poetry Pieces
PoetryJust a few poems I wrote based on experiences I went through. They aren't perfect but they have provided a good outlet to express my thoughts, opinions and feelings on life and other things. Image: https://cheap.buyessay.org/blog/wp-content/uploads...
