Chapter Three

"RISE AND SHINE SLEEPING BEAUTY!" Nick screamed as he jumped on my bed. I groaned and grabbed the quilts and lifted them over my head burying myself into blackness.

"Oh don't you dare Jess! We gotta leave for camp in about an hour!" Nick cried out trying to get under the quilts with me.

"Nooooooo!" I whined as he got under the rugs with me.

"Beauty, you know you gotta get up!" He smirked as his cold hands hit my bare sides of my stomach. Nick had started calling me Beauty since I loved Beauty and the Beast and because he's convinced I'm pretty. PFFT!

"You wouldn't dare." I threatened as he stroked my sides giving me goose bumps. He smiled and started to tickle me making me squeal out and kick everywhere.

"NICK GET OFF!" I screamed struggling under his grip as he lifted my shirt slightly blowing a raspberry on it making me burst out into laughter.

"You up yet?" Nick chuckled rubbing his nose over my inner belly button.

"YES!" I squealed as I shoved him away.

I changed my clothes then made sure my bags were all packed.

"Ready to leave Nick!" I yelled down the stairs as I tried to pull my suitcase down the stairs. Nick ran up the stairs and through the bag over his shoulder then took off back down the stairs making me shake my head with amusement.

I climbed into the passenger seat of Nick's Land Rover and didn't bother chucking on the seat belt. I trusted Nick and plus, we live in the tiny town, so everyone knew everyone pretty much, heck Nick was like best buds with the police officer as of how much trouble he got into.

Nick jumped into the passenger seat and chucked on his sunnies and I had to admit he looked fucking hot!

I placed my feet up on the dash and Nick slapped my leg telling me to take then down, but I just laughed leaving them there.

"So what do you think of Bronson and Kyle?" Nick asked as he sped off out of my drive way.

"They seem pretty cool, they should fit in nicely to our group." I smiled leaning my head onto his shoulder as he put his arm around me driving with his left hand.

"Why don't you like them?" I asked him curiously.

"Bronson seems fine...but Kyle..." Nick almost growled.

"what's wrong with Kyle?" I asked him looking up at him.

"He just looks like a player." Nick groaned pulling me closer to him with his arm.

"Nick. He is with Tia and stop with the whole over protective thing, I am not your property Nick." I shunned as I slap his chest playfully, but giving him a serious look.

"What protective thing?! And you so are my property!" He grumbled resting his head on top of my as he pulled up into the school grounds hiding his car in his special hiding place from the cops. I climbed out of the car and rested my arms on the top of the car and my head on my arms.

"Nick you can't protect me from everything." I tell him seriously. He looks at me dead in the eyeballs before he replies.

"I can try." And with that he walks off toward the loading bay.

"Yo Sugarplum why you standing there looking all drifty off into the distance?" Genna asked poking me in the side as I feel from his car.

"Thank you Genna." I rolled my eyes and stood up and gave her a hug.

"Anytime babe!" Genna winked making me laugh.

"Now what's up and where's Nick?" She asked putting a cigarette in between her lips.

"Nothing, he took off and what the hell have I told you about smoking around me!" I disapproved as I slapped the cigar out of her mouth and squished it in the ground.

"Bitch." Genna growled.

"You will fucking thank me one day." I said rolling my eyes and putting my arm around her shoulder as we headed off towards the loading bay where Nick had gone.

After a lot of packing buses and cutting through masses of crows, I was on the buses and next to Nick. I sighed as we sat in an awkward silence. About 10 minutes into the ride, I gave up on waiting for Nick to talk to me and chucked my ear phones in my ears and turned up Sill Into You by Paramore and didn't notice that I started to sing until I saw Nick join in with me and I smiled at him as he returned it. When the song finished me and Nick laughed as I placed my legs over him getting comfortable for the 3 hour trip we had til our groups camping spot.

"You can go to sleep Beauty." Nick smiled at me as he pulled me into him making sure I was comfortable.

"Yeah I'm going to." I smiled back, but before I could even try to get to sleep I heard some teasing in the seat in front.

"Aw Tia you look a little pale there!" Tom teased Jencia as she held her mouth.

"Knock it off mate!" Kyle threatened Tom and Nick joined in.

"Do you feel like you're just gonna..." Nick made gagging noises and Tia ended up throwing up out the window. Everyone was laughing besides Kyle who looked pissed as hell, which I'm pretty sure made Nick have a small victory, but Gen couldn't laugh for long, because some spew hit her window and that had her chucking up. Gross!

I buried my head into Nick's chest trying to tune everyone out.

"Aw babe, are you next?" Nick teased me and I punched him in the gut to shut him up which he returned with a grunt. And I slipped into a peaceful sleep.

"Beauty, my dear little Beauty, we are here!" Nick shook me softly which I protested hiding more into his chest. I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed and I felt myself get lifted as he picked me up.

"Fine I'll just carry you then." He laughed.

"Fine with me." I smiled hugging him.

We were all laughing until we saw our camp site. It was absolutely beautiful!

"Wow it's pretty much heaven!" Emma cried out taking the words right out of my mouth.

"Amen." Genna chuckled holding her stomach, then she did the unexpected and slipped on a slippery rock and landed on her butt, making everyone crack up in laughter. God this camp was gonna be fun!
