The first time Seokjin saw her was at MBC's Gayo Daejun,where he stood next to her and recognised her as the girl who had the same stage name as him.He didn't really mind though,he just thought it was weird from how 'Myungeun' can become 'Jin'.But then again,why not?'Taehyung' became 'V' didn't it?
He didn't really notice or observe her.In fact,she was the only member he knew from Lovelyz.They exchanged mere greetings before walking off to greet other idols.
He only started to get interested when Taehyung was MC-ing with Sujeong,and clicked on their 'Joyland' performance.That was when he thought it was really catchy,and went to find out other songs from Lovelyz.He found out that she had amazing vocals,and you can say that he was quite obsessed with her solo song 'Gone'.
Of course,this doesn't get by unnoticed by the members of Bangtan.It was the first time seeing their Hyung watching a certain girl group's performances so many times on his phone.Thus,the members were bored and also went to check out their songs,which resulted in the whole of Bangtan learning the choreography of 'Hi'.Yup,the full song.With the exact same choreography.Soon,they were able to perform the whole song professionally.Thanks to Seokjin.
He kept glancing at her backstage at Dream Concert,so as to avoid glancing at her on the encore stage since fan cameras can capture almost everything.After that event,he was thrilled to find out that Lovelyz would attend ISAC,and also a secret after party after the championships.
And that's where the story starts...
"Cheers to Bangtan for getting gold!"
Bangtan tipped their glasses together and drank them in one shot.
"This tastes disgusting!...but at the same time also addicting"
Jungkook said while the rest of Bangtan stated at him in horror.
"JUNGKOOK!!!"
Bangtan exclaimed,drawing some attention from other idol groups.Jungkook was legal now,of course,but well,Bangtan still forbade him to drink.However,the golden maknae has tricks up his sleeves,and knowing that this was the only chance he'd get,he went for it during ISAC.
"Well at least you're still not drunk"
Namjoon said while taking another sip.Jin heard his stomach rumbling.Well,who doesn't love food?
"Hey guys,I'm gonna get some patbingsoo,you want some?"
"No thanks,have fun"
Seokjin strolled to the snack bar when he stopped in his tracks.His heart thumped rapidly when he saw a familiar figure.
"Myungeun?Lovelyz's Jin?"
He quietly muttered to himself.He gulped and fixed his hair a little.Its not like she would notice him right?Well,he sure is going to have fun.
He queued behind her.She had changed into a casual outfit,a red tee with a picture of Mickey Mouse,a white skirt and a pair of converse.She didn't seem to have noticed him,she was too immersed in playing with her phone.It was then Seokjin noticed a Mario phone case which held her phone.
"She likes Mario too?"Jin thought to himself.
"One banana patbingsoo please!"It was her turn to order.She immediately stashed her phone in her back pocket and ordered with a bright smile on her face.She took her wallet out to find it empty.Her eyes widened.
"I'm pretty sure I had $10 in here"She muttered softly when there was a call.
"Hello?"
"Myungeun unnie!I just remembered that I took your $10 to buy drink!Sorry!I'll pay you later!"
Before she could respond,the person hung up."Ryu Sujeong,I'm so gonna kill you"She said under her breath.The ahjumma had already placed her patbingsoo on a tray when she wanted to cancel her order.With a guilty look on her face,she started talking.
"I'm sorry,but can I cancel-
"I'll pay for it!"
Seokjin sputtered out the words from his mouth before he could stop himself.He took a crumpled $5 dollar note and handed it to the ahjumma.Before she could reject the offer,the ahjumma took the money from him.
She gave a wholehearted smile to Seokjin.
"Thank you so much,Sunbaenim!"
Seokjin smiled at her as he observed her facial features.She looked around,trying to spot Lovelyz.But they were nowhere in sight.She sighed and turned to Seokjin.
"Sunbaenim,you can take this patbingsoo.Sorry if it wasn't the flavour you wanted to order,thanks for paying even though it's your now though"
Seokjin snapped out of his daze.
"Umm,let's just share it"
Seokjin said without thinking once again.They both froze on the spot,but Myungeun was quick to react.
"Well,sure,my friends probably left me alone anyway"
It was then Seokjin let his eyes wander around to see Bangtan gone.Seokjin grabbed Myungeun's wrist and led her to a table,after taking two spoons.
They were awkward at first,but after chatting a little,they felt more comfortable with each other and started talking like old friends.
"You like pink!?Me too!"
"Yo,high-five gurl!"
Seokjin said in a girly voice and they both chuckled.They had a lot in common,as they just realised.The patbingsoo was already finished,not a single drop left.Unfortuantely,Lovelyz's manager said it was time to go back to their dorm.A frown replaced both of their smiles on their faces.
"Well,I gotta go.Maybe I'll see you around soon.Oh,and thanks for the patbingsoo!It was nice sharing it with you.I must repay you someday,maybe a cup of coffee or something.Well,bye Seokjin oppa!"
She waved at Seokjin while he waved back at her.She then left with their manager.Seokjin sighed as he felt a lonely prescence around him.That is,until Bangtan came.
"Well it seems our plan worked"
Seokjin turned curiously to Hoseok.
"We kind of told Lovelyz to leave you and Myungeun alone,so that you two can talk.And we got chicken together!"
Jimin exclaimed while lifting up two plastic bags supposedly filled with chicken.Bangtan braced themselves for the scolding they were about to get from Seokjin.But there was nothing.
Instead,Seokjin smiled,and turned to Namjoon.
"You know what,I did have fun"
