"Look!He's heading out again!"
I muttered softly to myself,looking at the neighbour living right across me.He hardly decorates his house for any special occasions.I have never seen him decorate his house last year.We hardly communicate at all,we only exchanged greetings if we coincidently take the lift with each other.Jimin is his name.So far this year,he hasn't really decorated his house.Well,has a plant outside his doorstep.A fake one that is.
Oh and,i'm not his stalker.You see,won't you be curious why he doesn't decorate or celebrate these special occasions at all?So as to cure your curiosity,wouldn't you often wake up in the morning just to see him go to work in his suit,and come back at night,all tired?I'm pretty sure that's not what a stalker does.
Anyway,it's Christmas today,and I can't take it anymore.This time,I'M going to help him decorate his house.I'll motivate him by being his...Secret Santa!I'll drop things off at his doorstep and he'll pick them up,and eventually get motivated!
Today is the day.I woke up early and saw him go to work through the kitchen window.I started digging for my recipe book.Its probably somewhere here in the kitchen.Aha!Found it!I placed it on the table,coughing while dusting off the dust and sneezed a few times.I opened it up.Lets check the categories...

I flipped to that section.
Hmm...gingerbread men!Yes,that's perfect!I started baking.Wouldn't be long till he's home.I'm sure his work ends earlier since it's Christmas.
I put the cookies into the oven.Hmm,now I have to wait...I yawned and stretched my hands.Hmmmm...a short nap wouldn't hurt right?
I thought in my head as I lay down on the sofa,and slowly drifted off to dreamland.

"Beep Beep!Beep Beep!"
Ugh,the alarm...oh wait.I sat straight up and ran to the kitchen.My gingerbread men cookies!!!I quickly put on my mittens and took the tray out of the oven.Phew,it looked just nice.Any second longer,and It surely would have been burnt.
I peeked out the window.Huh!?He's back already!?I quickly added some frosting and some little decorations on the cookies before I quickly ran over and put the cookies in a jar before putting it on his doorstep.I then hid behind a big tree to observe his reaction.
Jimin looked at the jar curiously.He looked around,probably hoping to find who gave him the jar of cookies.He took the jar and headed my way.Oh no,did he see me?As he passed by,I quickly went to the other side of the tree,only to see him place the jar of cookies on MY doorstep!?He didn't seem to notice it was me though.He then walked back and into his house.
I'm still not giving up though.I took the jar of cookies and went back to my house.I took a bag full of Christmas decorations,along with the cookies.I went over to his house and stepped on the doorstep before ringing the bell.The door opened and I stepped in.
The house had no decorations at all,only a Christmas tree without decorations too!
"Umm excuse me,but who are you and what are you doing in my house?"
Oh right,I haven't introduced myself.
"Oh,hi!I'm Kim Jiyeon,but you can call me Kei.I live opposite of you,and I'm also the one who gave you the cookies"
I turned to him and spoke as his cheeks turned bright red.
"Oh,umm,why did you give me the cookies though?And why are you here?"
"Well,I planned to be your secret Santa but well,never mind.And also,I never see you decorate your house or anything on special occasions,so I deci to help you!And why did you give me the cookies though?"
He brought his hand to the back of his head and scratched his head awkwardly.
"I thought that you would be lonely or something,since I  see you staying by yourself all time,and the cookies looked freshly baked,so I gave it to you.I didn't know you were the one who gave it to me"
Ohhhhh...He actually observes and care about me.I took in a deep breath.
"Well,it seems that I'm right about your place being not decorated,so I'll start now!"
I said enthusiastically as I started to hang the decorations.
"Then you should stay for dinner,Kei.I don't know how to cook,can ramen do?Its the least I can do to thank you"
I nodded my head as we both went to do our things.

Finally!I'm done!And just in time too.Jimin came out with two bowls of ramen,and placed them on the dining table.
"Hey Kei,Dinner's do-
He stopped talking and his mouth was agape.His eyes scanned the room.Did he not like what I have done?
"Does it not suit your taste?I can take them off-
"No no!Its...beautiful"
He smiled at me and I smiled back before eating our ramen.Hmm it's good.We continued talking about things and didn't keep track of time.
After a while,I looked at my watch and gasped.10pm!
"Well,it's getting late,Jimin,and I should really go right now,thanks for the meal!"
"And thank you for decorating!"
He saw me to the door and we were about to say goodbye to each other when I felt something on my head.A leaf?I looked up.Oh.Mistletoe.We looked at each other.
"It's alright,Jimin,y-you don't have to-
I didn't get to complete my sentence as he pecked my lips.A very quick one,before he started blabbering about things.
"I'm so so so sorry!I wasn't in my right mind!You see,my friends put it there for fun and I-
"Jimin!Jimin!"
I waited for him to look at me before I told him,
"It's alright,I'm not mad"
We chuckled before I went back to my house.He was still watching me.I secretly touched my lips with my left hand as my other hand waved goodbye to him.
It was nice being your Secret Santa,Park Jimin.
