Stay The Night

"So Taylor, how's everything going with you and Adam?" Karlie asked raising her eyebrows.

"It's going amazingly well," Taylor responded lost in a daydream just thinking about him.

"Aww you two are always so cute!" Karlie said while Taylor smiled. Karlie was staying at Taylor's house in LA with Taylor for a couple of nights so that they could catch up. Adam had a gig at Vegas the night before and was coming back to LA in a few hours.

Karlie and Taylor were baking and decorating cupcakes while listening and dancing to Selena's new album Revival. Suddenly Taylor's phone started ringing so Karlie quickly paused their loud music.  When Karlie saw that the caller ID was 'Adam <3' she giggled and clapped her hands excitedly. Taylor didn't know why Karlie was still so overwhelmed whenever she saw them together as they had been dating for months. Taylor just rolled her eyes at Karlie laughing then answered Adam.

"Hey baby," Taylor spoke into the phone.

"Hi babe, I miss you," Adam answered.

"I miss you too," Taylor said.

"I was calling to tell you that I won't be able to come over when get back to LA later," Adam said. Taylor's face suddenly dropped. They hadn't seen each other for a few days so she wanted to as soon as possible. "A few of the usual guys are coming over for a get together and I can't get out of it cause it seems they've conned me into hosting it," Adam explained laughing. "Anyway do you want to come over to mine instead?" Taylor was relieved because she would still be able to see him.

"Yeah sure, what time does it start?" Taylor said smiling again.

"It starts at 8pm, do you want me to pick you up?" Adam asked.

"No it's fine. 8pm sounds good. Can I bring Karlie to?"

"Always," Adam replied laughing. Him and Karlie got along really well.

"Ok, see you then babe," Taylor answered.

"Bye Tay, I love you."

"I love you too, Adam," With that Taylor hung up her phone.

"What did he say?" Karlie asked curiously, only having heard Taylor's half of the conversation.

"Some of his friends are having a get together at his place at 8 and because he was going to come here later he invited us. Do you want to come?" Taylor asked Karlie.

"Sorry Tay, I wish I could but I was actually planning on doing some work here later," Karlie answered.

"No that's fine. I'm not leaving for a few hours so we can keep baking until then," They continued baking until Taylor went upstairs to get ready. She decided to wear a matching floral crop top and skirt with heels. She also applied a bit of makeup and grabbed a purse. When she came back downstairs Karlie was sitting on the sofa engrossed in her work on her laptop.

"Wow, dressed to impress are you Tay?" Karlie teased when she finally noticed her walking down the stairs. Taylor just rolled her eyes.

"Bye Karlie, I'll be home by 12," Taylor said heading towards the front door.

"What are you and Adam going to be doing at 12?" Karlie asked cheekily. "There wont be any funny business will there?" Karlie asked, acting like a mother asking about a party her teenage daughter was going to.

"Goodbye!" Taylor called avoiding her questions. She heard Karlie laughing as she left the house.

When Taylor arrived at Adams house it was just past 8. She got out of the car and went straight to the front door. She didn't bother knocking as she had been there about a billion times. As she walked through the door she saw Adam talking with a few of his friends in the living room. He heard the door open and turned to see who it was. When he saw her he smiled, walked quickly to her and wrapped her in a long, tight embrace.
