Trust Me, I Could

The sound of her giggling in bed next to him made him feel happier than anything else in the world. While she held his hand she felt as if she never wanted to let go, as if she never could let go.

"You know, I never thought my life could be any more complete until I met you," Taylor spoke softly, with her head on Adams chest. They were both watching, fascinated as their hands fiddled together.

"I love you Taylor. I love you more than anything," he responded truthfully. She smiled up at him and gave him a deep kiss in reply.

It was 4:30 in the morning, but Adam and Taylor were still up, cuddling in bed. They had been wide awake all night, just talking. The day before, they had been tired enough to sleep in until 3pm so they didn't at all feel like sleeping now.

"Come on, we're leaving," Adam suddenly decided, getting out of bed.

"What?" she asked confused. Adam walked over to the closet and found one of his hoodies.

"Here love, put this on. It's cold out there," he handed her his hoodie then grabbed her hand, leading her out of the house to his car. His hoodie was massive on her, which Adam thought was the most adorable thing ever.

"Adam, where are we going at 4:42 in the morning? It's still dark," Adam then stopped in his tracks, turned to face her and rested his hands on her cheeks. He paused for a moment,

"Don't you trust me?"

"Always," she answered, proceeding to get into the passenger seat of the car.

They drove for about half an hour until they reached their destination. Adam told Taylor to wait while he got out so that he could open the car door for her. He reached for her hand then gently pulled her closer to move his arm around her waist. He planted a soft kiss on her cheek, causing her to smile to herself.

"So where are we going?" she asked, curiously.

"You'll see. We are almost there," he replied.

The couple walked for about 5 minutes in comfortable silence. When Adam stopped walking, he caught Taylor's attention. It was still dark. She looked up to faintly see a beautiful, isolated beach about one hundred metres away. Adam saw her smile as they continued to walk towards it.

The wind was loud, but as the couple got closer they could hear the relaxing sound of waves crashing, one by one. They could smell the salty water and feel the sand in between their toes.

Adam sat on the sand, pulling Taylor down with him. He noticed that she was shivering, so he pulled her as close as possible and wrapped his arms around her. Her head was in his chest and his head was resting on top of her head. Even though Taylor knew that words could possibly ruin their perfect moment, she spoke anyway.

"I will love you for the rest of my life Adam," she promised.

"I will too," he answered, kissing her head multiple times. The sun had started to rise and seagulls began to appear.

"No seriously Adam, I want us to get married and start our own family and spend the rest of our lives together. Every day I want that more and more, because every day I love you more and more,"

"I want all of those things as well. I have never felt like this with anyone else and I never will. I don't know what my life would be like without you, I can't even imagine it anymore. You're my girl and you will be forever," Adam replied.

Taylor moved and straddled his lap to face him. She rested her head in the crook of his neck and wrapped her arms around his warm body. He wrapped his arms around her too, pulling her closer to him.

"Thank you, Adam. Thank you for everything" Taylor said and Adam just smiled.

"I want to spend every single day of the rest of my life with you, so I should be thanking you,"

Taylor had tears in her eyes. She and Adam had only been together for almost a year, but she already knew that they were going to last forever. They both wanted the same thing; they wanted a future together.

The tears caused Taylor to quietly sniffle. Adam didn't need to say anything when he heard her. He just tightened his grip around her, pecking her shoulder.

After they had been there for a couple of hours, daylight was on its way. People who fished or ran early in the morning on the beach started to show up. No one had recognised them yet, but they knew that soon enough someone would.

"We should go Taylor, we don't need photos of us like this all over the internet," Adam sighed.

"I'm not leaving yet, fuck the paparazzi," Taylor replied.

"Am I going to have to carry you to the car, babe?"

"I think you might have to," Taylor giggled.

"Come on then," he said standing up with her still in his lap. She quickly wrapped her legs around him so she wouldn't fall to the ground, not that Adam would have let her. Her head was again buried in the crook of his neck.

"You're lucky that I'm in a good mood, otherwise I would have no choice but to throw into the water," Adam spoke seriously.

"Babe, don't you dare do it," Taylor pulled her head away to look into Adam's eyes and beg.

"I wasn't going to," he chuckled, heading towards the car.

"Good, otherwise I would have no choice but to....," she tried to think of an effective threat, "but to stop sleeping with you for a month," she decided.

"Oooh that would be nasty," Adam raised his eyebrows, "But honestly babe, I don't know if you would be able to resist that long,"

"Trust me, I could,"

"Are you sure about that?" Adam whispered slowly and seductively into her ear, before softly kissing her neck. She moaned quietly with pleasure. Adam snickered against her skin before Taylor slapped him softly.

"See babe, you wouldn't even last five minutes!" he teased, still laughing.

"Fine," she finally admitted, "but either would you,"

"I'm not even going to try to deny that," he confessed causing Taylor to giggle, which was a sound he would never get sick of hearing.
