Attention: This story was originally posted as Trials of Love and Prevarication, but after going back and doing some editing I decided to change the name to Remission. I didn't change much in the story and the plot is still the same so if this story sounds familiar it's because it is my own which I had previously wrote in 2015 and completed in 2016. It's been 4 years and I cringe reading this now because my writing sucked but it's definitely improved over the years. I hope you can at least give it and try and enjoy it.
Two years ago, Deanna Brooks watched her mother get shot by her father. Now that Deedee is 18 years old she has still been living a depressing life and has been finding it hard to love or trust anyone. With her mom dead and her dad still hiding she only has her twin brother, Dale Brooks left to love.
Just when Deedee thinks happiness is finally coming her way reality slaps her right in the face. A sudden accident lands Dale in the hospital and Deedee has no choice, but to stay with James, Dale's best friend. James teaches Deedee that life is too short to be dwelling on the past but does it mean that she finally has learned to love again.
