Bonds from childhood, tears for a Ducati, and constant burden

Nerea moved far from Drew, she knew it was better. Two guys followed her, while the three left stood near Drew. He looked at all of them, all tall, and with dark hair. It had been a few months since something similar had occurred to them. Drew began walking backwards not taking away his sight from the attackers. He kept his eyes paying attention to each movement they made. The last time, it had been leaving a party. A group of men had confused Rea with another girl. The poor girl had been victim of unconsciousness. Rea had stolen a motorcycle that night. Fortunately, they didn't fight or use magic. He saw how everyone else wasn't paying attention. As if everything around them was absolutely normal.

Drew had arrived near a table with two chairs. He turned himself facing one of the chairs. His hands traveled the metal, a cold feeling made impact in his fingers. He hold with both hands tightly the chair. He closed his eyes. His lips began saying words without sound. Impotentia. The word repeated more than once. Drew became lost in his own words. He had forgot where he was.

The impact of a hand in his shoulder made his eyes open wide again. His eyes weren't grey anymore, a yellowish color was instead. He turned and the chair he had been holding so tight was freed from his hand grip. The man had fallen down. The impact of the spell had to be enough to knock him. Drew watched how one of the man went to his fallen partner. The surprise was the man was conscious. A grim was created in his face. It was aiming just at someone, Drew. A black flame appeared in the palm of one the men's hands. Drew took a few steps back. He looked around, in the table beside him a silver tray was alone. Drew felt how the black flame approached him. One of his hands grabbed the tray without hesitation. The flame crashed against the tray but bounced at a apprentice. Drew lost balance and went to the ground. The flame had injured an apprentice. When he fell, everything became chaos. Apprentices started running, screaming and panic arose from everywhere. The attackers started shooting at everything. Drew took cover under a destroyed furniture. He was hiding, while thinking where Nerea had gone.

Calvin had returned to his seat in the table bar. After Nerea had left, he had danced more but now he was sitting. The scene before he had met Rea was the present. The one drink he had had all night. It was as if it didn't happen. He was awaken by the sound of Tim cleaning some glasses.

"Haven't finished?" Calvin asked.

"Is nice to dream, you know." Tim replied. "What's up? Sitting here so fast."

"Yep." Calvin said looking at his glass.

"Do you want another drink? It's from the house."

"No, I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"Yeah." Calvin took his wallet and a few dollars. He placed them near his glass. "Keep the change." Calvin began walking away while Tim counted the money.

"What do you think about her?" Tim asked.

"She's ... she's..." Calvin hand scratched his neck.

"Don't have words?" Tim said. "I had the same reaction when I met her. She really is one in a million."

"Ha." Calvin said. "Unforgettable." Calvin began moving himself far from Tim.

"Did you ask her for her number?" Calvin shook his head.

"Why? I though you two had..." Tim began saying.
