You open the door, dressed in your pink polkadot onesie and JJ half smiles with a little chuckle and says ‘I had no idea our little date was going to be so casual’ you look down at yourself, totally forgetting that you wearing a onesie and laugh ‘It’s the most comfortable thing I own’ you say and shrug a smiley little shrug. ‘Wait there a second’ he says and runs back down to his room, just 3 or 4 doors down from yours, runs inside and grabs his comfy blue onesie. You laugh as he walks back with it and asks to use your bathroom so that he can change into it.
After changing, he comes walking out of the bathroom with the onesie on, half unzipped and you catch a slight glimpse of his gorgeous body. You look away when he looks up, pretending that you didn’t see. The 2 of you prettymuch carry on from the conversation you were having earlier about the first live show and JJ asks if you would mind going over the choreography with him a couple more times, just so that he knows he’s got the routine down. ‘Sure’ you say, amazed to see how dedicated he is to wanting this all to go well. You find the song on your laptop and jump up from the edge of the bed and start going over the routine with him, he watches you in amazement the first time, completely memorized by the way you move. After going over it a few times with him, you just let the playlist on your laptop play quietly while the 2 of you talk. When ‘Call me maybe’ starts playing he tells you how this was the song that got Union J through to the live shows and he helps you to your feet and you both just start singing and dancing to the song, you’re amazed by how comfortable you are with him, it’s been a long time since you were in a relationship because for the last few years you have wanted to concentrate on your career first, but you can feel those barriers you put up start coming down when you’re with JJ, it’s a good feeling but at the same time you don’t want to let it distract from what you’re here for.
You hear a knock at your door, it’s Jaymi, he’s been looking for JJ for a while, he’s just come to let him know that they should probably get to bed soon because they have a long day of rehearsals and interviews tomorrow. ‘Okay, I’ll be back in a bit’ JJ says to Jaymi. He thanks you for all your help and kisses your cheek in a sweet but friendly way before he leaves, ‘I’ll see you at the studio tomorrow yeah?’ he says, ‘Yeah, I’m working with Rylan tomorrow, but I’ll see you there’ you say. He smiles as he says goodnight and closes the door behind him.
After brushing your teeth and getting into bed, you think to yourself that maybe you do really like him, but you’re not sure if he likes you back in the same way ‘Maybe he’s just a genuinely friendly guy’ you think to yourself, ‘maybe I’m just reading too much into it, maybe we’d just be better as friends, I don’t know, I suppose I’ll have to see how it goes’
You fall asleep that night very confused, but reminding yourself that you’re here to work, and you shouldn’t let your personal life interfere. But in the back of your mind, you’re thinking, ‘ but what if we really do have something special here?’
