They took me to a sterile cell, I noticed they had females on one side and males on the other, they put Blake across from me.
"Proud of yourself?" I said to him through the small bars on my thick door.
"I'm sorry Avery but after I found out what you were and why were going to marry Dylan, I couldn't control myself, I also knew your father wouldn't just accept me because I had been turned, I love you Avery but I didn't think this was going to happen" he said.
"I'm not marrying Dylan anymore, a choice of my own and it doesn't mean I'm interested in getting with someone so soon, I'm trying to do this on my own from here on out" I said.
I wondered why we were able to talk for so long without someone telling us to shut up, then I noticed the cameras covering every inch of the place, we were a social experiment the world didn't know about, it didn't make us any less human I mean sure we were part werewolf but that's beside the point.
"Dad?" I said trying to look out but I couldn't because the door was so thick.
He didn't answer which made me think they took him to experiment on him, which was not good.
"Doesn't your family have people to get you out of this kind of situation?" Blake pleaded.
I wasn't about to answer that kind of question, I couldn't tip these people off but there was a plan in place in case something happened to us, but I was most worried about Devon right now; he was too young to be in this kind of situation.
With me defying the Brotherhood at every turn I wasn't holding my breath on a save from them, now it was up to Jackson.
I don't know what they were doing to the people they were holding captive here but it was clearly turning some of them crazy, I heard wails at all hours of the day and night, needless to say I hoped to be rescued before they started experimenting on me.
I finally tried to lay down on the small cot in my cell, only to realize that it was basically a hard board with a think layer of cotton fluff, I couldn't lay on my back otherwise the board would hurt the base of my spine, so I had to lay on my side which offered little comfort.
It was a while before I fell asleep and for some reason my dream was dark, the only thing that made sense was the packs of wolves that figured prominently running through a dark forest, but I haven't dreamt of wolves since I was a child.
Then a loud boom startled me awake, the lights flickered as I sat up and more booms went off as I got off the bed, Jackson appeared in the small opening of my cell.
"How did you get organized so quickly?" I asked as I backed away so he could blow my door open.
The boom made my ears ring a little.
"I had help" he said as I Emil and his Brotherhood appear with my brother and father.
"How did you know?" I said taking Devon in my arms and hugging him.
"Like I said, we've been keeping an eye on you" he said.
I knew what this meant, now I owed them even more.
"Hey wait Avery, help me out" Blake said pleading through his small window.
I thought about it for a minute but I heard guards coming and that made my decision, I grabbed one of the charges off Jackson's belt and put it over the lock and backed away.
"Don't get this twisted, I just don't want to see you become a lab rat or dead but you're on your own from now on" I said ushering everyone else out.
