Liyah

"Well Miss Payne, 3 more months & your baby girl will finally make her way into the world." My doctor announced. Feeling her little legs kick at me made me cry but these were tears of joy. My pride & joy will finally be in my arms. After leaving my check up which Quincy forgot about again, I decided to make my way over to Sherane's place. I haven't spoken to her in weeks after the break up with Dot. I knew she was having a rough time getting over it. 15 minutes later, I pulled into her driveway & waddled up to her porch.

Pounding on her door, she answered after 5 minutes ringing the doorbell constantly. Her once beautiful eyes were puffy and red. Her hair was in one big ponytail and she had pajamas on. It almost looked like she didn't leave the house in years. I pulled her into the biggest hug once I made my way into her house. Dodging the used tissues and empty bottles of water, we made our way to the couch.

"Sherane, are you okay? You've been ignoring me for the longest."

"I'm fine Liyah. I'm just under the weather, that's all."

"Bullshit!"

"What's bullshit Liyah? The only man I loved left me because of a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding? What happened?"

Sherane then pulled out her phone & showed me what all went down.

"Who the hell is that Sherane?"

"My ex-girlfriend Amber." Sherane muttered.

Watching her get upset, I instantly grabbed her hand & placed it on the top of my stomach. Seeing her smile & talk to my belly, made her feel much better.

"Where's Jaida at? I haven't spoken to her since the whole miscarriage thing."

"I don't know. Its like whenever I see Jaida is when she's passed out in the bed."

"Damn. Is she back with Kee or what?"

"To be completely and utterly honest, I don't know what the fuck they're doing."

It was a complete shame that Jaida & I were best friends but I didn't even know the status of her & Kee. I knew of them sleeping together on New Years Eve but from what she told me, she was over Keenon & his bullshit.

"Come back to my place and we'll see. But please take a damn shower." I laughed.

Sherane ran up the stairs to shower & get herself ready to go. 30 minutes later, we were en route on my way to my house. Walking up the stairs, I unlocked the door & made my way into the crowded apartment. Cleaning up & straightening around my place, I came across a plane ticket to New York.

"Fuck is this?"

"What's what Liyah?" Sherane muttered making her way towards me.

"This bitch planned on leaving the whole fucking time."

Showing Sherane the ticket, she also became furious. I felt like Jaida hid the fact that she was leaving us. I honestly couldn't stomach this very well. All I know was, I couldn't wait to see Jaida & confront this shit. Sherane & I decided it was best that we just leave before something bad happens.

Sitting on the balcony smoking my blunt, I reflected in my life for the past year. I ended up gettin my lil sister's friend pregnant, got shot & then Julia took place. A niggah had too much stress on my life. Drinking the 40 ounce, I made my way back in the bedroom where I see Julia asleep. Looking at her, I began to roll my eyes & proceed to the bathroom. Taking a piss, I felt her wrap her arms around me, causing me to jump.
