Why does she try to be good enough
for someone who thinks she can never be good enough for them?
Why does she despair
when it's not her life she should repair?
And why
is no one ever good enough?
And why
do people always - ALWAYS!-
demand but never -NEVER!- appreciate?
And so inside her mind
She let her anger and expectations collide
Deciding she'd had enough
and so she gave up trying to be good enough for anyone BUT HERSELF .
