Ahri's P.OV
A few days passed before Yasuo and I reached Demacia and seeked for Galio's help. We managed to obtain it, but it wasn't easy. Galio wanted us to duel him and if we won, he would agree to follow us to the Shadow Isles. Yasuo and Anivia seemed to have an easy time against him, while I struggled a bit. Yasuo assured me that I was fine, but I felt like I wasn't doing my best.
*flashback*
"Ahri, Galio. The first to give up loses. Are you both ready?" Garen asked as he stood in the middle of the battlefield with me on one end and Galio on the other end. I quickly skimmed the terrain, before giving a nod. There were a few barriers that weren't particularly large but could still use as protection. The ground was made up of sand, which I could most likely use to my advantage. I prepared myself for battle as I controlled my orb which I summoned.
"Battle start!" Garen exclaimed as he ran to the sidelines and watched the battle. Galio started to fly up into the air, but I dashed around causing dust in the air to form and hoped he didn't see me. I could still see Galio through the dust, so there was a likely chance that he saw me too.
I quickly hid behind a barrier, waiting for a suprise attack. Although, Galio blasted the barrier and I had to dash to the next one. One by one, the barriers were destroyed by Galio. As the last barrier was destroyed, I quickly dashed towards him and charmed him. Luckily he fell for it and I instantly summoned wisps and willed them to attack him, followed by my orb.
"Heh, nice.." Galio remarked. "But it won't be enough to finish me. His eyes formed a beam that aimed at me and I was able to dash out of the way in time, but I was hit back by a strong force of wind. Before I got time to recover, he blasted me with his beam. He then turned into a statue and I realised that I wasn't able to move. I thought to myself, "Crap, what do I do?"
Suddenly I felt the ground break beneath me and pain seared through my bones. I couldn't move. My muscles ached from the impact. I was covered in bruises and cuts. My body just lay there as it didn't want to feel any more pain. But I was about to lose. And if I were to lose, there was no way I could face Yasuo again. If I were to lose, this journey would be for nothing. If I were to lose, everything would be over.
Realising that this battle was pretty much a life and death situation, I mustered all the power left inside of me. It wasn't my body couldn't move. It was that it didn't want to move.
But I will force it to.
I slowly stood up and Galio seemed rather surprised. He said, "Wow you have great strength. Normally people don't survive that combo of mine, especially if they use magic. Although, somehow you have. I applaud you for that."
Despite not having much strength left, I dashed around trying to land as many charms as possible. One managed to hit him, and I landed the rest of my combo on him. It didn't do much, but it still wore him down. I continued this for a while and as each charm hit him, I sent my wisps and orb straight at him. I was lucky that I managed to miss his attacks.
However, I was too tired and my feet fell before me. I could tell that Galio was tired as well, but I was completely worn out. I could hear Galio slowly walk towards me and I kept my head down, mostly for the fact that I was crying. I prepared myself for the pain that was to come, but it never did.
I slowly lifted my head up after hurriedly drying my tears, and before me was Galio with an extended hand. He said, "You did well. Don't think you are weak because I have trained myself to counter mages like you. I was surprised you managed to get this far."
"Thanks." I replied as I took his hand and stood up. Yasuo and Garen soon came over, both looking at me with shock as they saw how damaged I was.
"My god you took a lot of damage.." Garen muttered as Yasuo came over to pick me up. Garen led the way to the infirmary where I would get healed up. Once we arrived, Yasuo placed me onto a white table with a thin layer of what seemed to be a white bed sheet which was surprisingly warm. It was kind of lumpy but it must be because of the new technology they are developing.
I didn't want to say it, but Yasuo had been very quiet after the battle. I took a glimpse at him and it seemed as if his mind wandered off somewhere.
Suddenly someone walked into the room. She had light violet skin and a horn on her head, followed by two legs that belonged to a horse. It was as if she was a human unicorn. She came in holding a golden staff with a crescent moon at the top. I chuckled at that thought and everyone looked at me. It was cute. I think she knew I was laughing because of her since she gave me a suspicious look.
"I'm Soraka," she said as she shrugged off my chuckle. "I'll be healing you today, it'll only be a moment."
She walked over to me and gave me a strange look. I stared back at her, wondering what she was curious about. It couldn't possibly be my tails and ears because we were kind of similar. You know, being a half breed and all.
She then sighed and stated in a flat tone, "How do I say this... You're sitting on a patient."
My face started to flush bright red and I finally realised what the lumps on the table were. Hurriedly scrambling off the "table", my legs gave way and I ended falling bottom-first onto the floor. Garen gave out a hearty laugh and Yasuo who also seemed embarrassed, picked me up.
Soraka directed him into another room and told him to place me on the table. From there, she started saying something in another language and I felt really light headed. My mind started to drift off somewhere, but it wasn't long before reality hit me again.
"There, all done." Soraka informed. "Your injuries were quite serious but it's all healed up now. Could you stand and try walking for me please?"
I gave a nod, and inspected myself. I could no longer see the bruises and cuts that covered my body. There weren't any scars as well. This..was amazing. I slowly got off the table and to my surprise, it was as if I didn't have the cuts and bruises in the first place.
I quickly turned to Soraka and said, "Thank you for healing me."
In response, Soraka gave a nod and a smile before heading off to treat her other patients.
*end flashback*
Now that Galio's joined the group, we can head to the Shadow Isles and find Thresh who has Yone's soul. The journey's almost over, but it's a tough road up ahead. Honestly, I'm scared that I'll be the one who will cause inconvenience to the team. This is my first journey and I have no experience compared to the rest. This was shown through my battle with Galio..
But, I guess there's no point turning back now. I'll try my best.
