Chapter Four

Lucy smiled sadly at me. "Give it time, it’ll all come back to you"

"I hope so, it's just its annoying not knowing people, I mean the only people I remember properly are you two..."

Kevin placed a hand on my shoulder, I turned to look at him and he smiled.

"I’m just glad you remembered us Aaron, I don't know what I would I have done if I lost my baby bro, that accident was bad and I’m just so glad you pulled through"

"Me too, I guess I’m glad I remembered something and wasn't alone when I woke up"

"Okay enough of this. Eat up now, we have to get to work soon"

I nodded as I picked up some of breakfast and began eating.

Later

Leah’s POV

I smiled at Monica as I stood by her desk. "Lunch?"

She smiled as she picked up her purse. "Sure Lee" Within minutes, we were sat in a café, awaiting our food as we talked. "Soooo guess what? Justin is back tomorrow, I can't wait to see him, I missed his face.."

I laughed a little as I listened to Monica gush about her boyfriend of two years, soon our food arrived and we began to eat as we talked about random stuff, not touching on what I was crying over this morning. Half an hour later, we had finished our lunch and stood up to leave. As Monica and I walked to the door in conversion, I collided into someone, stumbling backwards, thank the lord Selena was there to steady me.

"Hey mister! Watch where you’re walking! She could’ve gotton seriously hurt!"

I smiled a little at my friend. "Mon, it's okay, I’m okay" Only then did my eyes meet the face off the person I collided with and all of a sudden, my world stopped, if only I didn’t look and just walked away... I quickly looked back down as I mumbled,"I gotta go.." With that I walked around him and left the café, leaving a confused Monica to follow behind me.

“Leah, what the heck?"

"It was him, Aaron"

I suddenly saw her eyes soften.

"Oh Leah, I’m sorry.."

I shook my head as tears came to my eyes; I sniffed, refusing to cry.

"Well, if he thinks he can forget me, I can forget him too..."

"Maybe he has a good explanation Lee, I think you should talk to him at least, you were crying over the dude this morning for crying out loud!"

I looked back at Monica, tears running down my cheeks. "You think I don't want an explanation Monica! I sure as hell do but to look him in the face again would hurt too damn fucking much!"

Monica stood there in pure shock, she had never seen me explode like that before.

"Leah, I..."

"I’ll see you back at the office" With that I turned and began walking, leaving Monica standing there in the street.

Meanwhile

Aaron’s POV

I watched as Miley ran off with another girl who had raven-coloured hair, wanting the chance to talk I went after them only to stop as she confronted the other girl in the street, slowly I made my way to the girl who had been left alone. "Hey" I watched as she turned around to face me.

"Hey, um sorry about before..."

"It’s no problem, do you think she would talk to me?"

"Who? Leah? I don't think so.."

I dropped my head down in disappointment.

"I’m sorry but she’s just confused, I’m sure you have an explanation for everything"

I nodded. "Thanks anyways"

I walked into the house I shared with my brother and sister-in-law and made my way into the living room as I found Lucy flicking through a magazine. "Hey Lucy"

She looked at me and smiled as she set her magazine aside. "Hey Aaron, whats up?"

Sighing I sat down. "I saw her today, Leah, she wouldn't even talk to me, I just want to explain you know?"

"Oh Aaron, I'm sorry, I can talk to Ashley, see if she convince Leah to talk to you?"

"Really, you'd do that?"

"Yes, of course Aaron, your family and you're not some dickhead who forgot because you wanted to. You have a legit reason Aaron, so yes, I would" 

I got up from my seat and went over to Lucy; pulling her into a hug. "Oh, thank you!"

She smiled at me as she got up from her seat, going towards the kitchen. "No time like the present"

Leah’s POV

I was working, or pretending to when Monica came upto me, I was surprised she did, I treated her so coldly, I didn't expect her to come to me, more like me going to her, begging for forgiveness.

"Leah?"

I looked up at her. "I’m sorry Moni, for what happened earlier.. you’re right, I should talk to him, but he better have a god damn good explanation!"

She laughed softly. "I’m sure he does, he doesn't look like a jerk who changed for the worst, forgetting his old life"

I smiled a little, thankful for having a best friend like her.

I walked into my house as I called out, "Anyone home?!" I walked into the hallway and dumped my bag onto the floor as I heard Ashley yell out: "In the living room!" I walked into the living room and smiled at her. "Hey Ash" I noticed someone looking at me, I slowly turned and there sat Aaron, besides Lucy. My heart began to thump faster and faster as I stared at him, I felt as if my heart was about to explode when he spoke.

"Hey"
