Logan's POV:

The slight, crisp breeze ruffled my hair as I opened my back door. I stepped out onto the patio and whistled as loud as possible, smiling to myself. I waited for a few moments until I heard a back door slide open and a returning whistle. It was Stella and I's way of calling one another since we were so close. I went to the back fence where my dad built me a gate leading in the woods. He understood what it ment to me so he also built one on Stella's fence. After closing the door behind me, I walked into the forrest until i could no longer see my house. Through the trees, i could see the hammock and swing Stells and I used. It was our hangout spot. Apparently, she walked faster than me because she was already sitting on a blanket at the base of a tree with her guitar in hand. Her fingers strummed the strings slowly, emitting a sweet sound into the silence. As i entered the clearing, she lifted her head, her amazing, piercing blue eyes at me. They were surrounded by a thick line of black eyelashes with gold flecks in the rim. Her long blonde hair fell around her in a blanket of curls, a few strands tucked behind her ear. She was drop dead gorgeous all the time, but I could tell she had been crying. Her eyes were darker than usual and the tracks of her tears shone on her face. I sat criss-cross next to her with a smile. Her lips pulled up into a small smile and she went back to strumming. She hummed under her breath softly, to a song i didn't know. "Sing for me," I demanded. She looked up at me with eyes like saucers.

"What?" She scoffed at me.

"Sing for me."

"No. I've never sang for anyone before. I'm not that good..." Her voice trailed off. I cut her off with a finger to my lips.

"Sing," I demanded once more. She let out a sigh and pressed her pink lips in a firm line. Her small hands fit around the neck, pressing down the chords as she played. The song soon became very familiar to me. It was Don't you ever forget about me by Sleeping with Sirens. It was our song as best friends.

The hardest thing I'd ever do

Is say goodbye and walk slowly away from you

But I'll do it

And after all this time I shared with you

It seems unfair to leave with nothing more than blank stares

But I'll do it

If it's for the best then I wish you well

If it helps to say our life was a living hell

Well then do it

Then do it

Then do it

Her voice was sweet and it kissed my ears beautifully. I could see her tense up a bit with every line so I decided to join in.

Don't you ever forget about me

When you toss and turn in your sleep

I hope it's because you can't stop thinking about

The reasons why you close your eyes

I haunt your dreams at night

So you can't stop thinking about me

Don't stop thinking about me

She smiled at me, silently sending a thank you, and continuing on.

Do you really think you could see this through

Put on a smile and wear it for someone new

Don't you do it

'Cause I know I'm not the easiest one to love

But every ounce I have

I invest in you

But no one said love's not for taking chances

I let her finish the rest of the song on her own, enjoying every second i could hear her amazing voice. When she finished, she set the guitar down and looked at me.

"Happy?" She sighed, raising her eyebrows.

"I have the best friend ever who has a hypnotizing voice, is beautiful and perfectly imperfect. Why wouldn't i be? But the question is, are you?"

She searched my eyes and smiled, her dimples poking out, "Very." She leaned her head against my shoulder, fitting into my side. It was perfect in every way.
