Stella's POV:
"Stells!" Logan's voice called from downstairs. There was more knocking at the door and another yell. "Come on Stells, I have to talk to you!" There was a slam down the hall and a pair of footsteps stomping. My door flung open and my mom stood with her arms crossed.
"Estella Lucia Arabella Sinclair go tell that boy to go away! I'm trying to work in there!" She scolded, stomping back down the hall. With a sigh, I headed downstairs. Great to have her back, I thought. I clicked open the door just as Logan was walking down the steps.
"Stells...I came by the park, but you were...preoccupied." He looked at his feet when he said this. I felt my cheeks flush. He had seen me with Steven.
"Yeah, ummm. What are you doing here?"
"Oh...I ummm..." More awkward silence, "I guess I just haven't talked to you and I was wondering how you were."
"Well maybe if you'd reply to me and not ditch me for your new girlfriend, you'd know how I was." He looked like a deer in headlights as I spat out those final words.
"Holly has nothing to do with this..."
"Yes she does. You ditched me for her. You could have at least called. It's cool though," I let out a chuckle, "But Holly...Really?" I closed the door before he could say anything else. Slowly, I slid against the door and pulled my knees to my chin. I wouldn't cry over Logan anymore. If he wanted Holly, he could have her. I was done trying with him.
Logan's POV:
That went well, I thought as I walked back into Holly's house. "Look who came back," She snapped, not looking up from her magazine.
"I'm sorry. You were right. Stella and I are done being friends." She looked up and smiled, patting the spot next to her.
"Good." The way she said it, it was as if she knew I would say that. Almost as if she was hoping I would stop talking to Stella all together. I unlocked my phone and clicked on Instagram. Third from the top was a post that gave me chills. It was Stella and Steven on our Hammock in our special spot. It was captioned, "I've found Prince Charming, He just rides a skateboard instead of a white horse." Underneath was a comment from Steven. It was just a heart and a smiley face, but it still hurt me to see it.
