1. What inspired you to write your first book?
I don't precisely know what it was. One evening, I wanted to try meditating and, when I relaxed myself on the bed -eyes closed and all of that- my imagination took hold of me from there. During the day, I would be buried in a notebook, taking notes on everything I've seen and trying to sort it out in my head. After a while, it felt too real for my liking, so I have not attempted meditating since after the first draft of "Russian Roulette" was complete.
From then on, I haven't looked back and did everything I could to improve my writing ability to keep up with my brain and the videos that play in it.
2. How did you come up with titles?
There are a few ways:
1. I think: "Is there a place that is important to the main character that could be used as a title?" This is how "Russian Roulette" and "Demon Gates" got their names. Both are places in the story that greatly impact the character's life.
2. If no such place exists, or it simply doesn't match the story, I will ask myself: "What would be the theme or how can I summarise the story in one, or few words?" Sometimes, I would sit there for ages trying to think up a title and, at other times, it flies in like a boomerang and hits me on the head.
3. What genre are your books?
I think my main genre would be Urban Fantasy/Paranormal mixed in with Romance. I love supernatural creatures because they spice up the universe and make it just so much more fun. I am trying out Sci-fi, Mystery, and pure Romance too, just to see if I have any ability in them.
Fundamentally, I love mixing genres. In my stories, you'll always find at least two.
4. Where do you get your inspiration?
At times, ideas come from people or events around me. Most of the time, they will just pop into my head and won't stop tormenting me until I jot them down to write out fully later. That said, an idea for "Overexposed" came to me from watching "Poison" music video by "Rita Ora". Pretty random, I know.
5. Why do you write?
There are a few reasons for that. Writing makes me happy. I love being in a different world and go on a journey with my characters as they struggle to survive in the world I've created. Also, I write because of my readers too. Hearing from them warms my heart, especially when they say that a story of mine had affected them in some way or kept them occupied though the boring train journeys.
Bulletin: I am currently working on two stories: "Overexposed" and "Case: 0". Overexposed is a romance that I'm attempting. It is an interesting genre and fun to journey into but, knowing me, I won't go easy on my characters.
Book and Author recommendations: "Red Night", "Red Moon" by @RKClose. She is a great author and I have great respect for her.
"Bending Steele" by @Kraftygal. Although her works are mature, I can't stop reading them. I consider her to be one of the most entertaining writers on Wattpad.
"The Soul Summoner" by @EliciaHyder
"Dating the Undead" by @JulietLyons
"Offering" by @Leila_Adams
