Q1. How did you discover Wattpad?

A. You know, it's been so long that I don't even recall!! But my immediate thought was, "Social Media for readers and writers? Count me in!"

Q2. Where do you get your inspiration?

A. I don't believe in inspiration. This is my job and I take it seriously (probably too seriously). It might not pay all of my bills but it pays some of them, and it's the job I'll be working well into "retirement". There is no sitting around waiting on the muse to visit. I know...I know...that sounds harsh but the electric company doesn't care why you don't pay your bill. I love what I do. I REALLY love what I do, but love doesn't pay the bills!

Now ideas? Ideas are like rabbits...that's why we call them Plot Bunnies. They are numerous and highly distracting :D

Q3. What fictional character best describes you and why?

A. You mean that I've written? I'd have to say I'm about halfway between Jade Ballard (Kind of insecure and yes, for similar reasons) and Betti Blanchard -- in many ways, the older I get, the more confident I am and the less I care what others think of me.

Q4. Why do you write?

A. Because the voices in my head won't shut up!!

Seriously...Writing is like opening a steam valve and letting off pressure.

Q5. What writing advice do you have for other authors?

A. Do it because you love it. That said, if you intend to pursue publication, hone your skills. Learning to write is like learning any other skill. The more you do it, the better you (can) get at it, but you have to want to get better (and relax...we all sucked when we started). Study your craft - yes I'm repeating myself because you can't write in a vacuum. Push yourself to be better.

Do it because you love it because being a published author is HARD.

Bulletin: You may announce your present or upcoming project(s) here:Getting ready to start on Even Cowboys Get the Blues (Bluebonnet Book 5) and planning on posting some special stuff over here on Wattpad.

Book and Author recommendations:

1. Uglies - by Scott Westerfeld. If you have not read this, wow....go read it.

2. Moonshine - by VanillaIceCake (I'm still waiting on an update). Demons and Speakeasies and Prohibition? I'm all over that!

3. Marshall's Law - by MommyMagic - because at the end of the day, I love a good old-fashioned romance.

4. Must Love Ghosts - by AniGonzalez9 - Quirky, funny and heartwarming like Ani Gonzales :D

5. Ungloved - by RSimpkin - love the fairytale'ish quality of this. A nice mix of otherworldly paranormal. I met Rebecca via #Wattpad4 also!
