"Look!" Sarra pointed out from the other side.
The clone stood on both of his legs. He pointed something at the three of us that looked much larger than a regular pistol. However, he eventually lowered his aim to Jason's unconscious body.
"No, don't do it." I said.
"You'll regret this." Sarra said.
"You don't have to do this you know." Eiffel said confidently, like she knows entirely what she's talking about.
"You kids don't understand what my needs are." Mr. André said. His finger hovering near the trigger.
"Needs or wants?" Eiffel said. "Because the two are very well diff--"
"What do you know about us?" He cuts in rudely. "You're just an ordinary Zip that needs to exterminated. Once you tell the whole world about us, you'll be a goner."
"So why aren't you a goner?" she asked in the same tone. "You deserve it more than I do." I grabbed her arm. He didn't need to be informed that much.
"Well you got a mouth on you, Ms. Zip."
"Listen here, clone," I stood infront of Eiffel, guarding her. "Stay away from Eiffel, you hear me?!" I yelled.
"Eiffel. So that's your name, huh?" Eiffel nodded nervously.
His action looked very suspicious, like he's gonna shoot anyone at his will.
"Stay. Away." I said.
"Like you can do anything about it--So, seems like you get whatever you want with lover boy right there. Looks you need more, do you? Like, O say, your own powers?"
"You know what!" It was the last straw.
My hands stretched out. Millions of lightning bolts emerged from my veins and reached the other side. Sensing all the energy getting wasted inside, my nose starts to drip in hot, thick blood. It dripped across my chin like melting ice cream. It felt like my mind was in a verge of starvation, in a burning desert, no hope for living.
Every vein, every part of me was singeing in heat. Too much power.
I fell to my side, to the railing, grappling my head, like it would help.
"Jess, you okay?" Eiffel asked, her hand rubbing my shoulder. "Jess, you did it, you knocked him out. He looks fried. Come on, we have to get Jason."
I felt a hint of wooziness as she tried to pull me up. I was too weak to nod. I ran out and of breath.
"Jess?"
I used up my remaining strength to keep my eyes open. Eiffel was one of the last things I saw; she somehow managed cross the platform again with no daunt. Then I heard Sarra screaming for Eiffel to go back, "It's too dangerous! Come back here!"
The very last thing; a gunshot.
My eyes close completely.
