Is it really necessary to cause so much trouble over the loss of someone close? I can understand the wanted posters or bounties of the killers, but why put a death sentence on every magic user? We have been living with magic for many years and with the sudden loss of it will cause chaos and disorder. It's like the king wants everyone to suffer from the death of his sons.

I know how he must be feeling at least. To have someone you love be ripped from your arms by the world. The pain within your heart won't fade no matter how hard you try to cover it up. You may forget after awhile, but the pain will forever be there.

Finishing packing everything in the bag we came with I decided to go ahead and let Loke know what was going on. If anyone could give us clues without being discovered it's him. Before I could finish my thoughts I felt the magic stir up and then his presence was beside me.

"I have the idea of what's going on. The celestial king is on edge about this war thing. He says if it happens and the king gets his way all the true evil within the world will rise and nothing good will be left" Loke said.

"Were here to stop it hopefully. I need you to go investigate the crime scene get all information and clues you can without being caught. Hopefully turning in the killers will stop this before it gets to far" I said.

"Well here's something to start you with. The celestial king has a feeling the war will break out in two months. We need to stop it beforehand. If we must we'll have to tap into that magic Lucy even though you don't want to" Loke replied.

"Well I can hope it doesn't come to that. I promised my mom after all" I whispered.

"I'll leave now, but if you need me you know what to do" he said while disappearing.

Once he was gone I walked into the kitchen where Mirajane was eating while Natsu packed stuff.

"Loke gave me some news" I said catching their attentions.

"He did already?" Mirajane asked amazed.

"Well nothing over the murder, but he did say that the war is suppose to break out in two months" I said.

"That's good news. We have a deadline now. Okay we need to leave now and take a train north to the city of knowledge" Mirajane said.

"Why the city of knowledge?" Natsu asked.

"I have a feeling someone is there hiding in her comfort spot" Mirajane chuckled.

"I think I know who you're talking about" I chuckled.

"Wait. Before we go can I add someone to our group?" Natsu asked.

"Is it a magic user?" Mirajane asked.

"Yes, and she can heal perfect if someone gets hurt" he replied.

"I don't see any problems with that" Mirajane said.

Natsu grabbed his bag and placed it on his back while picking up Happy.

"I'm not leaving him again. Okay lets go so we can get my friend" he said walking towards the door. I grabbed my bag as Mirajane got up to follow. He must be talking about Wendy. I would understand why he want her to come with us since she uses magic and could be killed.

Natsu led us out of the forest back into town. Mirajane staid close to me as we walked. She seemed to be in her own little world while walking. We kept going till we got to the less populated part of the town. Kids ran around in torn clothing, but despite that they were laughing and having fun. This must be the poor part of the town.

Natsu walked up to a nice looking little house and knocked. The door open as a little girl with blue hair stood there holding a white cat in on arm.

"Natsu?" she questioned.

"Listen Wendy I need you to pack a bag because your coming with us" he said.

"Where?" she asked.

"To help stop people from killing us magic users. Plus I know how much you wanted to go out and help people so this is your chance" he said while smiling.

"Can I bring Carla?" she asked.

"Of course! I got Happy" he said showing off the blue feline.

"Okay give me a moment" she said while shutting the door.

"Why didn't you tell me Wendy was a little girl?" I asked.

I felt ashamed I got upset over the fact I thought she was a grown woman who was in love with Natsu.

"I didn't think it was necessary. I known Wendy since she was a little kid, but her parents were both taken away and she was alone. That's when I became like a older brother figure for her" he said.

"That sweet Natsu. Even this is the first I heard of her you never mention her in our sessions. I can tell she has a great talent" Mirajane said.

"I was afraid if I told you that y'all would drag her away from here and stick her into their as well. After all I did teach her how to use her magic" he said.

"She to young to be a threat, but it was a good plan" Mirajane said.

The door open up once more as Wendy walked out with a small bag on her bag and her cat in her arms.

"I'm ready" she said shyly. It was clear she wasn't good around new people, but I'm sure that'll change as we go on with out adventure.

"Okay to the train station" Mirajane said while smiling.

I don't know if this was going to be a good or bad adventure, but deep within I swear I could feel my mother pushing me to continue on. Will this help the pain that dwells deep within me or worsen its tight grip?
