Lucy p.o.v

I was surrounded by this deep darkness. I couldn't see anything nor hear. I felt trapped and alone, oh so very alone. Where was everyone I knew, and why couldn't I remember their names. Everything was fading away so slowly. The only thing I could see was a clock....and a woman. She seemed familiar, but she too faded away.

"Lucy wake up" I heard someone say as they began to roughly shake my body. Opening my eyes I let a small groan escape my lips. I felt even more tired then I was earlier plus my body hurt in places.

I could fell warm hands pull my body in standing up position yet I couldn't seem to get my vision to fully work.

"Sessh Lucy you act like you been awake for weeks and finally crashed" someone chuckled. Soon my foggy head made a connection. It was Natsu talking to me, and we were running away. Opening my eyes I manage to see Natsu pulling me out of the train slowly while holding our stuff. Why was I so tired?

Yawning I forced myself to wake up and move. "I can take a bag" I muttered while stretching.

"No I'm afraid you'll fall over if I gave you one. Just last for a little bit longer" he smiled. I didn't argue with him and allowed him to pull me through the lovely town. Due to the laughter and talking of people and the cool wind I started to perk up. Using my free hand I slightly rubbed my eyes and began to look around. Clearly this town use to use magic everywhere. The sweet essences of left over magic lingered. Now the town seemed dull yet people still continued on like nothing was happening.

Then it hit me hard. No one was able to use magic, and they wanted to get rid of the people who could use it. I only hope Mirajane and Levy were able to get away.

"Okay Lucy we have to travel about a hour outside of this town. That means we are hiking through the woods" Natsu said watching some kids play as we walked past them.

"Woods? Won't there be creatures out there?" I asked. Honestly I knew one spirit could defended off any creature we would run into but that could risk us being found. There's no telling what they are using to search for magic beings.

"Don't worry Lucy. We can't use magic, but I don't need magic for some small fry creatures" Natsu chuckled. Hoping my inner judgement was right I believed him. The power he almost released earlier seem really destructive.

"Okay I'll trust you" I replied. Soon Natsu led us to the edge of the woods. A single long dirt path led into the dark dull woods. Without another word he simply smiled at me and started to walk in the forest. Before he got to far he turned and handed me my bag.

"I would continue carrying it, but I'll need my fist if we run into trouble" he chuckled scratching the back of his neck.

"It's fine Natsu" I smiled while placing the bag back on. Following closely behind him I would cast glances around our surrounding area. It made me wonder how Natsu knew of this place, or if he even knew where we were heading. The trees were losing leaves fast reminding me that it was close to winter time. Why couldn't this happen during spring or summer? At least then it would give us time to find a nice place to haul up in.

"Where we're going can shelter us from the up coming winter right?" I asked him.

"Like I said it's sort of small and messy, but it'll last through anything. Just got to tidy up and it'll be our new home for a while" Natsu said. He seem to be focusing on the surrounding as well.

"How do you know about this place?" I asked curiosity killing me.

"Well I grew up in this place. When I was taken away to that place after getting arrested I ended up leaving my cat. He's special and smart so I know he's still alive" he said.

"Well I'm sure he'll be waiting there for you to come back" I said. As soon as I said those words I could see a small house looking hut appear. True to Natsu words it was small, but big enough to house two people. A putrid smell hit my nose as we got closer making me cover it.

"Sorry.....must be the food that was left. Nearly five years old by now" he said opening the door.

"Well I'll definitely help clean whatever ness is in here. Can't be that bad" I said following him inside. To my horror I wish I hadn't said those words at all. The place was a disaster area. Trash and clothes littered the whole place.

"May have to start on that cleaning now huh Lucy" Natsu chuckled.

"Please tell me if we manage to clean this mess up it won't end up like this again" I whined. This was ridiculous! I don't even want to see the rest of the place yet. Thank god I paid attention to the maid when I was little girl or I wouldn't have any idea how to start with this mess.

"I wish we could use magic. Virgo would definitely help me with this" I muttered.

Without warning I felt a small spike in my magic as virgo appeared. I almost went nuts seeing her.

"Before you lecture me princess if loke or I come on out own they can't detect us. We been watching the mortal world and know what is happening. I'm here to help" Virgo said in her normal maid like way.

In a way I was glad she was here, but I still worried they could find us.

"Okay okay. We got back up now lets get started" I said as I sat my bag down and turn to face one of my hardest challenges ever.
