Chapter Fifteen

Lucy p.o.v

    Natsu stood there with his spiky hair covering his eyes. To anyone looking upon him they could think he was the same old Natsu but something about him seem different. More evil like and with a shaky exhale Mira quickly covered my eyes taking away my eyesight.

    "I'm sorry Lucy, but Natsu would be so sad if he knew you saw him like this. This Natsu isn't our Natsu and seeming as you were close to death had triggered it" Mira whispered.

Past her words I could hear snarls and screams of pain. The smell of burnt flesh and hair met my nose causing my stomach to leap up my throat. A roar erupted whiling bouncing off the sides of the train screeched in my ear.

Yet even though all this was happening my body started to release small pulsates. Something familiar was creeping in while clawing itself into my heart. A feeling I have felt once before. My breathing quicken before Mira noticed.

"Lucy? Are you okay?" She asked.

Was I okay? My throat soon began to close up as the feeling increased.

My mother face flashed in my head and I knew what was wrong. Mom would have these magic flashes when she was close to any evil magics. This new Natsu was emitting evil and I'm reacting to it.

Mira let go of my eyes yet I kept them closed tightly. I was too afraid to open them to see the damage or trigger the flash. Mira gasp a bit before I felt her move away from my back. Before I could try I ask her what was wrong before i felt something warm and sharp touch my face.

"Lucy" I heard something speak and growl.

Opening my eyes I could see Natsu standing right in front of me. Though this wasn't the normal Natsu. His eyes were more sharp and had a killer look. His face had scales showing along with horns?

The pulsating within me had slow down till it disappeared.

"N-Natsu?" I asked with a slight fear to my voice. Why am I calming down when clearly he was emitting so much evil. 

"Don't worry Lucy you may be confused but worry later. I am not Natsu yet I am Natsu. Though the Natsu you know controls most our life choices I am the thing in the background truly controlling his moves guiding him. I need you to trust me" he said.

How can that be Natsu yet not be Natsu at the same time?

"Explain to me how" I started off only to be hushed by him placing his finger on my lips. 

"Just trust me and everything will be okay" was all he said. 

Something within me screamed to believe his words and I did just that. 

"Fine I'll believe you" I said. He gave a smirk that I think was meant to be a smile of sorts. 

With that Natsu walked pass me to Mira who held the bags in hand after she composed her self. 

"Will you behave" she said to him as he grabbed the bags from her. The stern look within his eyes clearly shown this wasn't the first time she has dealt with this side of him. 

"Now that I have a reason to behave of course" he said with a taunting voice causing Mira to freeze before sending daggers at him. 

"You don't mean" she started to say before stepping in-between him and I. 

"She too innocent for your wicked games Natsu. To think you would chose someone so brilliant with light for that" she growled. 

"Listen to me Mira. I wasn't really looking for this to happen but as the Lady Demon, people fear you, of all people should know how this works. Once you set eyes on them its the end they become yours and only yours" Natsu stated in a dull tone. 

"I know that very well Natsu......but she's....no she's not ready" she said biting her lips. 

"I know that as well Mirajane that's why I can't be bad at all" he smirked. 

"Uhh guys what are you two talking about?" I asked clueless. 

" In time my sweet prey" he commented. 

Mira hit him before she started to yell at him. Through out this whole ordeal it seem we forgot about someone. (I literally forgot about Wendy being with them Dx im soooo sorry) Turning to the booth behind us laid the girl sleeping soundly. How the hell did she manage to sleep through all of this?

Natsu picked her up before opening a portal of sorts. That is also when I noticed the tail sticking out out from his behind. Mira grabbed my arm and walked in front of him into the portal. 

"This is a easier way to travel and since Natsu in this state the other people cant sense us moving" Mira explained as we walked out into a flower field of sorts. It was really breath taking and made me smile at its beauty. 

"I think we should tell her now" i heard Natsu's annoyed voice say to Mira. 

"NO NATSU" she barked out. 

"I wanna know if it involves me" I said. 

"No you don't Lucy" Mira said glaring at me. She making worry it was truly bad or something with her reactions. 

"Listen Lucy do you know what a Soul Mate is?" Natsu asked pushing the fuming Mira away. 

A soul mate?

"What's a soul mate?" i asked.
