I'm sure ya'll have noticed how Caesars like the only single guy in the gang, I'm gonna show you the reason. He doesn't mind being single.
Caesar's pov.
"Then he got da guts to call her a white hoe! Man dat nigga lucky I wasn't around!" Riley tells me about Cindy collecting some money.
Were actually from the park, theres a court there where we played basketball. Now we walk back to the Freeman house, its most likely around 6. I can tell coz the suns setting.
Me and Reezy got titles so we ain't scared fo shit. Since Woodcrest is a white neighbourhood, people tend to avoid us, especially at night.
We walk with bounch, gangsta style. I bounce the ball as I walk. "Nigga I'm surprised C-murph didn't even wound his ass after sayin dat. Dat girl got a short temper."
"Just like her man," Riley says.
We walk pass a group of girls I recognise from school, in a lower grade. They wave at us. "Hi Caesar!" They sing. They greet Riley, too, but its less than mine.
"Ladies," I greet back.
"We were just going to the club, wanna come?" The blonde one flips her hair back. My dreads are shoulder-length and tied into a low ponytail. I've got a beard growing, too. Like Riley, I'm wearing a baggy top and baggy jeans.
These girls are obviously attracted to me. Not to brag but #cough cough# I know I'm good lookin. Its not the first time this has happened.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I got stuff to do, maybe next time. Aight?"
"Sure! Next time!" The girls move on.
Riley nudges me when were out of an earshot. "Nigga! Dat hoe was givin you da fuck me eyes. Why ain't you hittin dat? You gay?"
I roll my eyes and snort. "Those girls were Year Eights, Riley. I ain't gon go around messing with little girls...besides..." I toss the ball in the air. "I love being a bachelor. Being single is the life! Plus, Ion have to do dat anniversary shit or payin the bills like ya'll niggas..."
"Naw man, C-murph don't roll like dat," he says.
"Cuz she ghetto," I say. "We live in a white neighbourhood, Riley. These bitches expect to be dined! They want us to pay the bills, take them out, hold their hand in public...man its too much!"
We walk up the driveway and I shoot the perfect hoop. "Ghetto hoes are like that too," Riley says.
"Yea but sum of them don't expect as much as these hoes do."
Riley opens the door. "Whateva you say nigga. Respect."
I smile. Riley maybe a dumbass, but at least he sees my point this time.
We walk into the kitchen where Granddad Freeman sits at the table reading a newspaper. He looks up when we walk in.
"Hey Mr Freeman," I say sitting across him.
Riley ignores his Granddad and walks to the fridge, probably used to it, Mr Freeman doesn't do anything and goes back to reading. He grunts in annoyance. "Hello, Michael."
"Wassup wichu?" I ask.
"Everytime you boys are alone together ya'll eat mah food and finish mah orange juice!"
Riley sits at the table, holding a carton of juice and drinks from it. Granddad Freeman smacks the back of Riley's head, causing him to drop the carton and spit out the juice. "Aye! #Cough cough# What I #Cough# do??"
Granddad Freeman looks at me and makes a 'you see?' look. I chuckle. He looks back at Riley whos still coughing.
"Boy what I tell you about using a glass??"
Riley just glares at him. He stands up, cursing under his breath and walks over to one of the drawers and comes back holding a glass. He picks up the juice and pours it.
"And you best clean dat mess up," Granddad Freeman looks at some of the spilt juice on the floor and the spat juice (from Riley's mouth) on the table.
Riley stands up and gets a cloth. Granddad Freeman goes back to reading his paper. "Boy I wish you moved out with Huey."
I tried to make this chapter funny, dunno if jt worked though so let me know! Xoxoxo Hugs! ;-))
I dunno why my chapters keep getting shorter. Writers block ah bitch. :-/
