Riley's Pov.

"C'mon Reezy, we always doin dis shit. Wassup wichu?" Rummy asks.

After school I came over to Ed and Rummy's place just to chill. All three of us sit on the couch watching Ed lose at a video game. Rummy tries to convince me to out and rob a bank.

"Damn!" Ed throws the controller on the floor nearly breaking it.

Rummy sighs. "We don't need to be buyin another one of those, Ed. Watch it."

"Nigga hush," Ed picks up the controller and curses.

Rummy sighs again and turns his attention back to me. "Esco. Work wit me here."

I sigh. "Naw nigga. I ain't feelin it today...'sides..." I scratch my bottom. "I got a friend whos visiting fo ah short time...I'm plannin to spend mah time wit her."

"Why da fuck you here then?"

"Shut up nigga," I order.

After spending an hour at Ed and Rummys, I leave. I go home first to get my basketball and head to the park. I shoot sum hoops wit sum random niggas I find there. At the end of the game I still dunno their names. I walk through the park back home bouncing the ball. I sigh. I should've invited Caesar.

"Reeeeeeezyy!!" I hear a voice call.

Some one jumps on my back and I fall down, face first. I try to stand up and toss that person off, but she keeps pushing me down.

I hear a high snicker. "You not as tough as they call you, Reezy!"

I push her shoulder and twist her off me. She falls back down onto the pavement and I straddle her. "Da fuck are you?"

She laughs. "I know this might be turning you on a little, but can you get off me? If they see us in this position at night they'll think your raping me."

I realise I'm on top of her and stand up. I brush off some dust. The hoe stands up. Were under a lamppost so I see her perfectly. Dis hoe got cornrows like mine, but they end all da way at her ass. She wears a crop top and torn shorts, showing a lot of skin. She fine as hell.

"Damn," I whisper.

She smirks. "Like wut you see?"

I glare at her. "How you know me?"

She rolls her eyes. "Everybody know you nigga. You cum up around here sellin dope-"

I push her against the headlight before she finishes. She grunts. "Ow! Nigga wut yo-"

"How I know you ain't workin fo da cops? Huh?" I ask. I clench my fist back. I've never hit a bitch, but she pissing me off.

She snorts. "Nigga please. I look like I work fo da po po?" She snickers. In one swift move, she grabs my shoulders and turns me, then pushes me against the pole.

"Ow!"

"Now you know how I felt. You ain't da only one who can defend himself on da streets," she says. She presses her body against mine.

I push her away. "Who you hoe?"

"Anjelika," she tells me backing away, realising how uncomfortable I am.

"Anjelika?" I echo. "What kind of black name is dat?"

"Aye. No nigga sed it was a white name." She tosses one of her braids back. "So..wut you doin walkin around here at night?"

"Das nun of yo business bitch," I say. I pick up my basketball and keep walking.

"Well..." she catches up and walks by my side. "I was just heading to da club. Wanna tag along?"

"No," I say not even glancing at her.

"Ooh I get it. Young Reezy ain't no playa, huh? Wut? You already got ah hoe?" She asks.

I stay quiet.

"Well, I bet she ain't as fine as me," she says.

I ignore her and speed my pace, but she still manages to catch up.

"I know she ain't cuz I heard she ah white hoe. Why you datin dem rich white girls? Wus wrong wit us black niggas?"

I sigh. "Cuz ya'll talk too damn much. Das why. Now leave me the hell alone."

Anjelika walks in front of me, stopping me and puts her hands on those hips. "I'm just askin you to cum wit me Reezy. One dance. And you can go chase all dem skinny white asses all you want."

I raise an eyebrow. "Aight." I walk to a bush and hide mah basketball in it. "If it means gettin you outta mah sight, I'm game."

Anjelika takes my arms and leads me to the club she was going to. She laughs a high pitched laugh. "Reezy baby, you will not regret dis."

I snatch my arm back but follow her anyway. "I ain't ah kid. And I ain't yo 'baby' either. Like I said, I'm only doin dis to get you outta mah sight."

She walks in front of me shaking that ass around. "Never heard of no drug dealer stickin to one girl."

I shrug. "Well maybe I'm just cool like dat."

She looks back at me and shakes her head. Both in respect and irritation. "Loyal ass."
