"Again!" Natasha shouted. Luna got up off the floor, and took her fighting stance. "Go." Natasha shouted. Luna ran forward, and lunged at Agent Romanoff. Romanoff quickly blocked the young girls oncoming lunge, and watched as Luna fell to the floor. Luna smirked as she swung her leg out, causing Natasha to fall. This went on for a few more minutes before Natasha called it quits. "You did good." The Russian agent smiled the young agent. "Thanks. Don't think I'll be sitting for the next few days though." Luna said. Natasha chuckled. "You get used to it. Just ask Spot." Natasha said.
Luna looked surprised at this. "Spot? The King of Brooklyn? My Spot?" Luna asked. Nat nodded her head. Luna laughed at the though of the fearless king of Brooklyn not sitting for a week. It had been about three months since Luna woke up. Over the three months, Luna barely saw her friends. They were all being trained in different departments. Alicia was being trained in the defensive area, Blink was being trained in the physical department, Spot was being trained in the mental department as was David since they had the same power, just at different levels, Jack was being trained in the darkness department, Les was being trained in the physical department, Race was being trained in the mental department, at first they had thought that he didn't have a power, but after wishing he had his old box of cigars and deck of cars, they appeared in his hands, and Luna was being trained in the defensive department.
Luna felt as if her and Spot were growing apart. She would be walking around the ship after her training sessions with Nat, and she would hear Spot's voice flirting with the young agents. Luna would often talk to the pictures of her kids, and imagine they were talking back to her. She would always imagine Brayden laughing like his father, and Cat being just like her grandmother. Late at night Luna would cry. She would cry because her kids had to grow up without her, cry because everybody she had once known was dead, but most importantly she would cry, because nobody was there for her. She had become distant and closed off over the past few moths. She was now like a younger version of Natasha. Nat was the mother figure that Luna had craved for so many years. "Hey kid. I want you to know that I'm here for you." Nat said sitting on the floor next to Luna.
Luna looked up the red-head with sad eyes. "They're never there for me anymore." Luna whispered. Nat looked at her sadly. "I sit in my room at night and cry. Back in 1900, they were always there for me. I can remember Race and Spot dancing around the Lodging House Christmas tree, drunk as can be. I can remember Blink and Alicia spending all their time underneath the mistletoe, kissing each other every moment they got, fearing Skittery would come back at any moment and tear them apart again. I can remember David and Les baking Christmas cookies while the other boys decorated the Lodging House with the little decorations we owned. I can remember Jack looking at the old picture of Sarah as he remembered their time together. I can remember dancing with the boys Christmas Eve as we waited for the early hours of the morning when we could open the presents we had gotten for each other. I can remember all of that like it was yesterday, and now it's over 100 years later, and I can still hear their voices." Luna said, tears flowing down her face.
Natasha looked down at the young girl. "Come with me." she said. Nat and Luna walked back to Luna's room. "Stay here." Nat said pointing to Luna's bed. Luna nodded and sat down. Natasha walked into Luna's closet and came back out with a age appropriate dress, and a pair of heels. "Here, put this on." Natasha said. Luna quickly changed, and slipped her heels on. She wobbled at first, but soon got used to them. Natasha led Luna over to her vanity and started on her hair. Soon Luna's hair was up in a simple, yet elegant bun. Before Luna knew it, Natasha was attacking her face with makeup. When Natasha pulled away, Luna was shocked at what she saw. Standing in her place, was no longer that small innocent orphan, now Luna was a mature, confident young woman. Luna let a tear slip out of her eye. Natasha didn't say anything, she just handed Luna a tissue. "Follow me." Nat said. Luna nodded and walked out her room with Natasha.
"Agent Romanoff!" a perky voice said. "Agent Everly." Natasha said with a curt nod. Luna noticed that the girl could be no younger than she was. Everly was about to walk away, when Natasha called for her. "Agent Everly! Fury trusted you with phase three information. We need to access it." Romanoff said. Agent Everly looked at the two cautiously before nodding her head. "Follow me." The three went through many twists and turns before they reached a door. 'Phase Three' it read. Everly took her badge and scanned it. "Welcome Agent Rebecca Everly." the computer voice said. Luna walked into the room and was shocked. Faces of different people filled the room. All faces that she knew. "What is this?" she asked. "This is Phase Three, top secrete information about unknown worlds. With this machine we have the ability to communicate with the dead, and other realms." Rebecca said. "Would Agent Rebecca Natalie Everly report to me a.k.a Tony Stark immediately as she was supposed to be here twenty minutes ago! That is all! Hey that man is playing Galaga! He thought that I wouldn't catch him, but I did! That is all!" Tony Stark said over the intercom.
Rebecca quickly walked out of the room, her face as red as a tomato. "So what are we doing here?" Luna asked Natasha. The Russian agent was silent, as she worked the computer. "Agent number 17675543, case files 1889 to 1900." Natasha said. Files were shown all around the room. Various names were on the files. From Mush to Swifty. Luna was surprised at how S.H.E.I.L.D knew everything about her old friends. "What would you like to do Agent Romanoff?" The computer asked. "Show me the victims of case number 1900." Natasha said. The room went dark for a moment, but what Luna saw shocked her. "Where da hell are we?" a voice asked. "Would youse shut up?" a different voice asked. The lights soon came back on, and Luna froze. Fourteen heads turned towards Luna. "Luna?"
A/N- I'm ALIVE! Ya I know what your thinking, first she updates yesterday, now she's updating again today? Well I must tell you, that I have been jammed packed with school, and I forgot about OOT over the summer. But I'm back and I'll be updating a lot more. Anyways you all probably hate me for the cliffhanger, but this idea came to me a dream last night, and I just HAD to use it. Anyways look for chapter 3 tomorrow, although I can't make any promises. I would like to dedicate this chapter to bailey_Higgins for keeping me writing this story. She is also in the story as Agent Rebecca Everly. The outfit at the top is what Luna is wearing, and the song is her explaining to Nat about her Christmas flashbacks, I though it went well with the chapter, and it's one of my favorite Christmas songs. I can't wait for Christmas vote if your ready for Christmas/Christmas music! I hope you like the chapter, let me know in the comments, and if you haven't followed me, follow me, and I will possibly see you all tomorrow! Read ya later ~Ember1899
