"Are you sure you want to play with that?" Jade asked in disbelief as she saw the image on the screen of her godson's video gaming console. "That game is for kids who are sixteen and older and you're only thirteen."

"Good thing you're not my mum," Karl replied cheekily and poked out his tongue at her. "She doesn't mind me playing these games as much, really, because she trusts me to be sensible and stuff about it."

"Well, I'm your godmum. It's not quite the same but there's a 'mum' in it and I don't want you to play these kind of stuff. At least not when I'm around."

The young teenager rolled his eyes ever so slightly so Jade didn't notice right away but he turned off his console right then and switched to the television. The brunette's ears perked when she heard the mention of a name on it and her head snapped up so quickly she feared she might have cracked something if she had done it just a tiny bit faster.

"... upcoming music video premiers on Friday at eight in the morning right on Capital TV and MTV so keep your eyes peeled!" There was a blonde female behind the screen, promoting her new song with a bright smile and big blue eyes. She was older now than she had been when Jade and her had gotten married but you could barely tell. Her skin was as soft and smooth as ever, her hair back to the shade of blonde after going brunette and then purple for a couple months again.

"Isn't that Perrie?" Karl asked bluntly without lifting his eyes off the screen as the advertisement continued, showing a small snippet of the new video along with some of the vocals of the song that would be featured on it.

An older woman shushed him as she walked into the room, "Karl, stop it. You know we're not supposed to bring it up."

The boy pouted again and leant back against the cushions of the sofa. Mumbling under his breath he replied so his mother couldn't hear, "I'm not allowed to do anything in this house anymore..." But he had underestimated her and his mum began an argument with her rebellious son right there.

"Stop fighting, guys," Jade laughed. "I'm sure dinner is going to be ready in a few minutes and you know how my mum can get when people aren't cheerful during dinner. So let's all calm down and enjoy this relaxing Sunday night."

The boy sighed again, "Why can't it be Saturday? I don't want to go to school tomorrow."

"Oh, come on," Jade laughed and shook her head. "Summer holidays only just ended! How can you be sick of school already?"

"Aren't you?" He asked cheekily and Jade couldn't help but grin,

"No, actually I'm not. This is only my first year at teaching and my kids are super cute so I really don't mind going there every day. I mean, I wouldn't mind if I could sleep some more but at least I'm not as bad at getting up as –"

"Dinner is ready!" Norma Thirlwall called out into the living room, cutting Jade off immediately. She would be lying if she said she wasn't starving for some food already. After Karl passed in front of her to get to the dining room first Jade got up and followed him.

"Are you going to sit next to me?"

Jade grinned at her fiancée and shook her eyes in fake annoyance, "Of course I'm going to, I always sit next to you. You should stop asking me that already."

"Sorry, I just can't help it," Perrie giggled and grabbed Jade's hand under the table so the others wouldn't notice. It wasn't like she was embarrassed because Jade's family was very well aware of what they were but she felt kind of silly for being so touchy and needy after all this time, still.

The brunette squeezed her fingers under the table, sending a shiver run down her spine and then they parted hands to be able to eat the food Jade's mother had made. It was silent for only a few seconds as everyone took their first bite to stop the saliva building up in their mouths before Jade's brother spoke, asking Perrie if she could hand him some gravy.
