you make me happy

I held my hands to my chest trying to keep warm. It was a chilly day during the month of October in Pickering, but I love it. So simple and seasonal. I walked along the river bank looking out into the water. It rippled as it hit the side of the bank making me blink every time it did. I felt alone, for now. Shawn should be coming home soon from tour and I can't stand another minute without him. I looked at my lock screen which held a picture of us kissing. It was my favorite picture because he said that I look happy. Which I am, when I'm with him. My mother said that I'm "too in love with him" but how could you not. When someone that cares for you that much makes you happy, you can't just fall out of love with them. The way Shawn's hair gets pushed back into a quiff, the way he smirks at you when he catches you staring. The way his giant hand somehow feels right in yours, it's breathtaking. I sighed as I held my phone tight in my hand as the wind blew my skirt to the side.

"Y/n, you look beautiful" I heard Shawn's faint voice behind me.

I turned around and met a pair of eyes dressed in a heavy jacket and scarf tied around his neck. It was my baby.

"Shawn" I gasped running over to him.

He engulfed me in hug kissing my forehead. All his Body heat radiating off of me making me feel better.

"I missed you baby girl" he chuckled in the crook of my neck.

"I missed you more"

He sighed and continued to hug me. But I didn't mind, the love of my life is back in my arms and I couldn't be happier.

As he let go, he grabbed my hand and continued our way on the bank. It was peaceful yet breezy.

"You make me happy" he smiled.

I looked up at him and all my emotions got the best of me. I looked back down at the floor and sighed.

"I love you" I replied.

"No y/n, I love you more than any guy could love a girl"
