The centaur slept with the pup on his back at the cottage they had traveled to, where him and Jax live. Kravor slept silently but Tia snored loudly. The hum of crickets was loud outside, Kravor assumed the Faun was fine alone, for he normally went on night walks, and he was even safer with the unicorn, so Kravor put no thought into it. The pup woke and pawed at Kravor to wake, which he did. "Yes, Tia?" he asked sleepily. "Can you tell me a story?" asked Tia. "Right now?" said Kravor, yawning. "Yes.. please." Begged Tia. "Well.. alright.." said Kravor, sitting like a horse. "How about one about me and Jax?" he asked. "Yes! Please." said Tia, he yawned and lay down in front of the centaur. "Lets see.. as a kid I was much smaller, and a much lighter shade of brown, more like a tan. My mother was a paint, and my father had a deep black coat. They trotted the lands together, without a herd. They never decided to join one because their love for each other was enough. Soon they settled down in a open area in a forest, wth a large mossy den to sleep in. After they had given birth to me, I took up looking at nature with my mother, and learning how to hold a bow with my father. One day I was trying to hunt a rabbit, but before I shot the arrow a small young goat-like creature leaped in front of it, picking him up and yelling at me to stop. I went over to him and asked why, and he explained to me the wonders of his pet rabbit, Dyani. I took him to my mother and father, and we decided to adopt him since he had no parents. He enjoyed being my brother, and I enjoyed having him around. Dyani was everything to the faun, and the day she was killed broke Jax. Jax wandered outside to see his rabbit laying on forest floor, dead. And over the rabbit stood a unicorn, nudging it lightly with her muzzle." said the centaur

"And I assumed the unicorn had killed her, so I.. Never mind, forget the part about the rabbit, thats how I met Kravor.." Said Jax, finishing the story. Jada breathed a comforting breath onto Jaxes face, showing she didn't completely mind him causing the death of a unicorn. Noticing that Jada was okay, Jax continued quietly, "But I only assumed this out of rage and fear and saddness, anything could of killed Dyani.. I'm sorry Jada." He said, about to touch her nose but decided against it. Jada moved her muzzle into his hand instead, noticing he wouldn't pet her. "It's okay." she said, calmly. There was a crack of tree branches. "Probably a phoenix" Said Jada, yawning. "Eh- Yea.." said Jax. "We should go to the cottage, its where me and Kravor live." "Okay." Said Jada, standing up using her horn to guide her and Jax through the dark. There was silence, but Jax knew something was close by, so he kept his ears perked. As Jax walked he tried to find where the sound was coming from, until he realized the sound was right next to them, or, to be more specific, right next to Jada. "JADA MOVE-" He said, being cut off by a massive manticore leaping out of the bushes and tackling Jada. Jada screeched and kicked at the manticore with her back hooves, scrambling to get off her back. The lion rolled and hit the tree, then leaped to its feet and pounced at Jada. Jax quickly grabbed a stick and jabbed it into the manticores head, it roared and stepped backwards, licking its paw and rubbing it against the gash. Jax pushed Jada to her feet and Jada stood, although tippy. Jax threw rocks at its head, making the lion freak out. It roared and reared up onto its back legs. Jada raced forward and her horn slashed the Manticores throat, leaving a long cut. The Manticore coughed and its tail swung in circles angrily. Jax grabbed his pan flute and begun to play a rhythmic song. The manticore roars grew lighter, as the whole cat began to sway back and forth, its eyes staring at nothing. Jax began to leap and dance and the large cat walked slowly, following the Faun. Jax turned and looked at Jada, trying to get her to knock over the manticore, because he couldnt speak without letting go of the lions trance. Jada ran forward and shoved the manticore into a tree, her horn dug deep into his fur, but not enough to kill him. Jada pulled her horn out of him, grabbed Jax, he climbed onto her back and they begun to canter away quickly.

Jax and Jada had soon arrived home, and they slept together in the cottage after healing their cuts with Jadas magic, Kravor and Tia where already asleep. Jax and Jada spent the night talking to each other and finally falling asleep.
