The piercing scream of Michael caught Calum off guard and caused him to sit up in a speed that caused his head to spin. Abbi on the other hand maintained her composure and opened her eyes, slowly, as if she was just waking up.

"Sup dude." She stated propping herself on her elbows. It was as if this whole scenario as a regular part of her daily life. By this time Ashton and Luke had already flooded into the bedroom wanting to witness the event for themselves.

"Thanks a lot... Sorry what's your name again?" Michael replied.

"You forgot my name? Even after the forty minute interrogation you have me during lunch? That truly pains me" she feigns hurt

"Oh yeah. Abbi with the cool spelling whose favorite super hero is the Black Panther."

The room was then filled with her chuckle. "Yeah bro. That's me." She then senses some sort of awkward tension.

"You guys are so weird. What's with all the tension. Never had a girl around before?" She questioned intriguingly.

"Not really dude. Calum isn't that's much of a lady's man." Ashton buts in wiggling his eyebrows, causing Calum to cut him a glare. She laughs again. God that laugh. It was beautiful really. It was hearty and evoked a genuine feeling that was impossible to mirror.

"Cool well it was great seeing y'all again."
They all choruses different forms of verbal agreement. At this point they had all gathered on Calum's floor. The cleanliness of it remained questionable.

"Where are you from?" Luke asks head propped up on his hand taking her in. Calum could help but get jealous. Sure they didn't go out or anything but her liked her before they even met her so that's would count as something right?

"New York City, where you get fucked over by life." She replied exaggerating a generic New York accent, a smirk tugging on the end of her lips. She began to reminisce about the life that used to be.

"What the fuck are you going down here then?" Ashton questioned astonished.

She laughed hair spiraling in endless curls. "Mother dearest relocated for work." Her tone was sickly sweet.

"How do you like it so far?" Luke cut in, turning red in color as the focus in the room shifted to him. Calum didn't like that. He didn't like it one bit. Sure Abbi was drop dead gorgeous in every definition of the word but he knew her longer. Thus, that twisted reasoning allowed him to convince himself that she was entitled to him.

She carelessly runs a hand through her hair and bites her lip screwing up her face.

"Eh. It's not too shabby. Not a lot to do here though."
"You should come to a party with us. I got invited to one and I was just about the ask the guys if they wanted to go." Ashton perched up.

Being the oldest led to Ashton usually being the most looked up to. He was in his last year of school and everyone knew him for his drumming skills and good looks. Therefore, the idea of him getting invited to a party wasn't far fetched.

"Yeah dude no problem. I used to party my pretty little ass off in New York. The house parties were crazy."

They all laugh.

"You guys are cool. I should hang out with y'all more often." She told Calum as they walked towards her front door.

The walk was quite short in distance but not in chemistry. She was equally as captivated by him as he was to her. The air was filled with the sound of their patent leather boots on the concrete sidewalk. There was the casual shoulder touching but nothing taboo.

What does your mum do for living if you don't mind me asking?" Calum questioned eyeing the elaborate house before them. He couldn't help but feel inadequate compared to its extravagance.

She shrugged her shoulders quirking her eyebrows.
"I'm not sure. Something with accounting or whatever. She's barely ever home so the hell would I know." She forces a smile.

"Well, I guess you're here now."

A faint chuckle escapes her lips.

"Yes Calum. We are currently in front of my house." She states nodding her head for dramatic affect. He rolls his eyes and gently pushes her.

"Ow." She exaggerates and he rolls his eyes again.

"Keep doing that and you'll go blind, Hun."

They laugh. It slowly dies down.

He looks at her lips and back to her eyes. Those eyes. Pools of warm brown. Those lips. Kisses dream of lips like hers (a/n stole that from Michael Faudet's Dirty Pretty Things. Buy that book. Buy it now. It's amazing.).

"Okay. Cool. I'm going to go now. It was nice seeing you." Calum tells her sheepishly turning away, hiding his redeeming face.

"Jesus fucking Christ Calum. You can't just walk a girl home and not hug her goodbye." Her tone is pointed

He turns around and hugs her. He takes in her scent of coconut from her hair and the peppermint from the gym she's chewing and he doesn't want to let go. But he does.

As he pulls away he sees that she's beaming and her skin is glowing and she just looks so radiant against the night sky.

"Okay dude. I'll see you later." She tells him. He makes sure that she safely enters the house before walking back home with an small pep in his step.
