I've been driving for a little longer than 3 hours. I'm putting so much distance between my home, my friends and family, L.A, but most importantly Luke and the mess he's created. I've spent so long trying to erase all those awful memories of that night, not that I remember much to begin with, but just like everyone else I've seen the video. I know what happened that night as much as I wish I had stayed at home. I can't fight off my thoughts any more and as I turn onto the deserted road the flashbacks start.

--

"You're going too, right babe?" Luke asks. I sigh and curl into his side. All week him and his friends have been talking about some party Ashton is having. He thinks our senior year needs to start out with a bang, and he's been self titled as the best party host.

"I don't know, you know I'm not a big party person, plus Kaelyn will obviously be there."

"Cam we talked about this. Nothing is gonna come between us. I love you to much." He says smiling.

"I love you." I say kissing his cheek.

"Alright so I'll pick you up at 7." He says as I sigh giving in.

Luke pulls up to my house around 7:15. Typical. Luke is fashionably late to everything. He offers me a small smile. "You look stunning. It's going to be difficult keeping other boys away." He says in a playful tone, but I know deep down he's serious. He's always been the jealous type, and I can't deny it makes him that much hotter.

"Thank you." I say blushing. I'm wearing a pastel blue crop top with a black high waist skirt. I added a cute shiny gold belt and some bracelets. I slip my feet into my black pumps, holding onto Luke for balance. He laughs slightly.

"Even with those on, you're still not as tall as I am."

"Shush. We're already late so lets get going." I say instantly grabbing his hand out of habit. He intertwines our fingers together and I smile to myself at the size difference.

We arrive at Ashton's huge house, but there is so many people already here that we have to park a block away on the street. Ashton's two story house with white siding is the biggest one on this street. It has a huge fountain that waterfalls into a decent sized pond in the front yard. It's everyone's dream house. The perfectly cut green grass and the maintained flowers that are planted in front of the house make a great contrast against the white house. It's a very modern home with huge glass windows. I can see the already crowded living room and hear the blasting music as we approach the front door. Luke starts to open the door but I stop him. "You aren't going to knock first?"

"Babe this is basically my second home, plus the music is too loud for anyone to hear it. It's okay I promise." He says kissing my forehead. He opens the door and I'm met with drunk teens and the strong smell of liquor. The music is so loud that I can feel it in my chest. "You want a drink?" Luke yells over the music. I shake my head, gripping his hand for dear life. He pulls me further into the house.

"Hey mate! Glad you guys could make it. C'mon we're all downstairs." Ashton says. Luke and I follow him down a set of stairs into the basement. There's a lot less people here and the few people gathered here are ones I recognize. I smile at Michael and sit next to him on the couch while Luke talks with Ashton. "Hey you look good." He says.

"Thanks Mikey. Where's Calum?" I ask. I liked going to parties when Calum was there because we both hated parties and drinking, so we usually stuck by each other and made sure people made it home safe.

"He didn't come tonight. He said something about helping his mom, but we both know this isn't his thing. Although I can say I'm surprised you're here."

"Yeah I only came for Luke." I say.

"The things we do for love." He teases. Before I could make a sarcastic comeback Ashton speaks up.

"How about a game of truth or dare?" He asks. I mentally groan. This is so typical it hurts and there's nothing I hate more than playing truth or dare at a party. Luke sits next to me and agrees to play for the both of us.

The game progresses on and it was going alright. I've only had to admit how great of a kisser Luke is and take a shot. "Luke, truth or dare?" This girl asks. I don't know her name but she came with Kaelyn so this is going to be interesting.

"Uh I pick dare."

The girl smirks. "I dare you to kiss Kaelyn."

The tension in the room is high and as much as I know it's a simple kiss I need to leave. He shrugs like it's no big deal and that hurts. He shifts closer to her and as his lips start to touch hers I stand up and walk back upstairs. "Camari wait!" I hear him call out but I keep walking. I need to clear my mind and this house is too crowded. I go into the kitchen and find it surprisingly empty. This house is so big and there's so many people that I have no idea where I'm going. I lean against the counter trying to get the image out of my mind. "Hey are you okay? I swear I didn't know she was gonna do that and Luke's an ass." I look up and see Ashton. I nod, not really wanting to discuss it. "It's kinda loud in here, lets go somewhere quiet." He says leading me through the house. As we walk down the hall, I see Luke out of the corner of my eye watching us. He leads me up the stairs, and as we reach the second floor the sound from downstairs slowly fades. "Wow it's a lot quieter up here." I hear myself say.

"Yeah I usually never let people up here." He says as he opens a door at the end of the hallway. "You can stay in my room until you're ready. It's not much, but it's a little hectic down there. I can go grab you some water and we can just chill out until everything dies down. How does that sound?" He asks me.

"That sounds great. Thanks Ash it means a lot." I say giving him a smile that he gladly returns.

"No problem." He opens his door to go downstairs, but he's met with an angry Luke.

"What the hell are you doing in your room with my girlfriend?" He growls. He shoves Ashton against the wall and I have no idea what to do. They begin to argue and my hands are shaking. Suddenly Michael comes in and yells at them.

"Both of you cut it out! You're scaring her!" He snaps. They stop and look at me and I blush from the embarrassment. Luke looks at me sympathetically and Ashton won't make eye contact. He gives Michael a look.

"Let's go get you some water." Michael says softly. I nod and follow him back downstairs.

"Thank you." I say as Mikey hands me a glass of water. So much drama has happened in the last 30 minutes. "I knew this would be a bad idea. I only came for Luke and instead he kisses someone else in front of me and then accuses me of cheating." I say in disbelief. "Like I'd ever be able to get over him." I mumble.

I set the now finished glass in the sink. My head spins at the sudden dizziness. I collect myself and go to take a step, but instead I stumble over my feet as my vision blurs.

"Are you okay?" Michael asks worried as he grabs my elbow. I nod unsure.

"I feel funny." I state. but my voice sounds slurred and sluggish.

"You don't look so good. Let's get you upstairs." He says picking me up and carrying me back upstairs. I feel myself being laid down onto the bed and hear loud voices arguing. The last thing I remember is seeing Luke's bright blue eyes before passing out.

--

I snap out of my thoughts and notice my eyes are blurry from all the tears. I go to wipe my eyes and notice I'm swerving all over the road. I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over yet. The tears keep coming, almost coming at a faster pace. I see bright headlights and hear a blaring horn before everything goes back.
