"-and that class is what a semi-permeable membrane is. Kenzie, do you mind repeating what I just said?" Asked Ms. Frank.

I lift my head up and take my eyes of the paper I was doodling a princess on, and look at the front of the class where Ms. Frank is looking at me expectantly. "Umm.. It's the type of membrane which only allows specific stuff to go through it. Right?" I ask full of hope scrunching my eyebrows together.

She let out a sigh and put her hand up to her forehead massaging her temples,"I'd like to see you after class Ms. Smith." And she begins to go back to teaching the class.

I grunt under my breath.

"It's been the third time this month, you'd think she'd get tired of seeing her face." Whispers a voice behind me.

I look back and see the most blunt person known to mankind, Ian. Ian Grant. He was your typical jock. Picked on everyone who wasn't good enough for him, and thought he ruled the world.

I just roll my eyes. By this time in the year, I'd gotten pretty used to tuning him out.

I just go back to drawing. I'm obsessed with art. And you can usually find me getting in trouble for drawing during class.

After about 10 minutes of an intense art session, the bell rings.

I keep my eyes on my paper and act as if there's nothing going on around me.

"This," Ian says walking by my desk and grabbing my paper which I had drawn on,"is stupid. Give up. Disney isn't going to take you." He finishes as he crumples up the paper and places it back on my desk.

"I worked hard on that..." I say as I look up at him towering over me.

"Too bad." He smirks looking me in the eye.

I wish I could just rip that stupid smirk off his annoying face.

In the back, I try ignoring his friends laughing.

'Just ignore him. Just ignore him.' I repeat in my head as I turn to face the now crumpled paper.

"Oh, and you too Ian, stay after class. Not like your grades are sky high." Says Ms. Frank as she sits at her desk motioning me to come over.

I get up and avoid him fully and walk towards her desk.

"Kenzie is everything alright?" She asks looking at me concerned.

"Yah, umm.. this chapters just a bit more confusing than the rest." I say hoping she'll buy it.

"Do you get it though?" She asks while looking over at Ian who was know sitting on the desk.

Yes. On the desk.

"Yes." I simply answer.

"Ian come here. You know your failing this class right?" She asks now directing her attention to Ian.

"What? No! I can't be failing! Coach will bench me this season!" He replies.

'For a dude, he sure is dramatic...' I think to myself.

I sorta didn't wanna be nosy, so I block them out.

After about a minute of staring out the window, I hear my name, "Kenzie will tutor you."

"Wait what?" I question the teacher.

There wasn't actually a problem. My parents were on a buissness trip out of state for the week, and my brother and sister were going to be at my granparents place. I didn't really get along with my grandparents, so I decided to stay home. Alone.
