Murderer

"What's wrong?" Cyborg asked over the roar of the coaster tracks. "Starfire's seatbelt!" Robin yelled. "Those things get loose all the time. I think she'll be okay." Kid Flash tried to assure Robin. Robin gave Starfire a concerned look and the coaster went I to a downhill plunge. Starfire gripped her seat and pushed herself against the back as tight as she could. Her alien strength left hand marks in the seat. Raven and Beast Boy saw this and Raven tried to fix the seat. It was too late. The coaster went uphill and Starfire slipped through her seat. Raven tried to catch her but the coaster kept going. Robin unbuckled his seatbelt in a hurry. "Robin!" Raven shouted. "I have to help her." Robin yelled back. He jumped up and the wind forced him back. He used his grappling hook to stop his fall. He franticly looked around. "Starfire!" He shouted distressed. She wasn't on the ground so he knew she hadn't fallen. "Robin!" Robin heard Starfire's voice shout. Robin ran along the railing until he found Starfire stuck in between cement that holds the coaster and the track. "I fell too fast to catch myself. I am stuck." She explained. Robin got to work trying to free her. "Robin!" Starfire screamed. Robin turned to see the coaster making a loop. Soon it would be toward them. Beast Boy unbuckled and jumped into the air. He turned into a fly and flew to his friends. Raven followed. Cyborg ripped open the wiring at the front of the coaster and tried to stop it. Kid Flash grabbed Jinx and was beside Robin before you could tell he moved. Bee tried to help Cyborg. "Raven, can't you stop it?" Aqualad asked. "Yes, but the jolt could injure the people in the seats." Raven answered. Adena and Speedy followed Aqualad out of the coaster. Adena put her hands up to heat the tracks. "No! It could break the track and those people could be killed!" Jinx warned. The coaster was now a few minutes away. The twins put their hands together and ran to the workers booth. "Raven move the piece!" Robin yelled. "That is holding this track up!" Raven yelled back. "Wait, if you protect the track with your power I can change the wheels boiling point." Adena told Raven. "What will that do?" Kid Flash asked. "If I do it correctly it should make a cover over the wheel and it will stop slowly." Adena explained. "She's right." Aqualad added. "Do it! Now!" Robin ordered. Raven put her hands out and the track turned black. Adena put her hands beside Raven's and started heating the wheels. The coaster started slowing. "Is it gonna stop quick enough?" Jinx asked. "I hope." Adena said. Kid Flash stepped in front of Jinx. Robin covered Starfire with his body. Beast Boy looked frantically at Speedy knowing that neither of them could save Adena and Raven. Aqualad jumped off the track. Right when the coaster sped around the corner it slowed to a stop. Starfire freed herself by shooting the cement with starbolts. Robin hugged her in relief. Raven fixed the track and they all got off. "Well, that was a rush." Kid Flash tried to lighten the mood. "Yeah." Beast Boy huffed. Starfire looked pale. "I think Starfire needs some rest. I'm gonna take her back to the tower." Robin pointed out. Starfire nodded and they left. "Team, get back to the tower." Bee ordered. "Why?" Aqualad asked. "I need you and and the twins to go. Our city isn't gonna protect itself. That's an order." Bumble Bee demanded. "Whatever." Aqualad huffed. "We better go fix the wiring." Cyborg said to Bee. She nodded and they left the group as well. "Jinx and I will come by later. Looks to me y'all need rest more than you think." Kid Flash said softly. Beast Boy nodded and they too left. "That leaves the four of us." Speedy pointed out. "We can still have a good time." Beast Boy said happily. "What about Starfire.." Adena started to say. "Robin is with her. She's fine." Beast Boy interrupted. Adena nodded and looked at Raven to agree. Raven shrugged. "No more roller coasters tonight though." Speedy joked. "Good idea." Beast Boy laughed. They began walking toward the booths. Speedy and Beast Boy cut up and laughed while they walked. Every once in a while Raven would look at Adena and roll her eyes at something stupid one of the boys would say. Adena would laugh and they both would turn around. "I have to use the restroom." Raven whispered to Beast Boy. He took her hand. "Anyone know where a bathroom is?" Beast Boy asked. "Yea, over there." Adena pointed to the right toward a bathroom sign. Beast Boy walked with Raven to the restroom. The bathrooms divided off just like bathrooms you would see at Walmart. Raven followed to cement pathway into the bathroom where the stalls were. When she was finished and washed her hands she looked up to see someone standing behind her. She jumped and her power broke the mirror. "Nice to see you to." Terra laughed.  "What are you doing here?" Raven growled. "This is a fair. A lot of people are here." Terra pointed out like Raven was stupid. "I thought Jericho dropped you off at a police station. Raven said and walked to a different sink. "Do you really think they had a chance?" Terra asked. "You hurt them?" Raven asked. "Oh don't be a hypocrite. Look up." Terra scowled. Raven looked at herself in the mirror as Terra said. "You took someone's life. You are a murder." Terra spat. "Slade needed to be stopped." Raven choked out. "You've stopped villains before without killing them." Terra laughed. "I think you should go." Adena growled as she walked in with glowing red eyes. "I was only catching up." Terra laughed. "No, you were throwing up the past. Get out." Adena raised her voice. Terra would never admit it but she was afraid of Adena. Each time they fought Terra was always beaten. "Chill it, hot head." Terra warned. "I'm not gonna ask you again." Adena growled and her fist began to glow. Raven held up her hands in warning. "You two are no fun." Terra rolled her eyes and left.
