Crash

"Hey! We just saw Terra run off! What happened?" Beast Boy asked frantically. The girls walked out of the restroom with gloomy looks. "Are you okay?" Speedy asked. "Yea, we're fine." Adena took a long breath and put her hair behind her ears. "Terra was in there when I was washing my hands and she..." Raven trailed off. "She was being her usual self. Wanting to throw Raven off guard." Adena stepped in. "Should we go find her?" Beast Boy asked. "No, let's just alert Robin in the morning." Raven said quickly. Adena moved to Speedy's side and started whispering in his ear. Speedy gulped hard as he heard what Terra said. "I'm gonna take Adena to my home tonight. I'll see y'all later." Speedy said quickly. "Alright dude, later." Beast Boy waved as Speedy and Adena left. "Are you alright?" Beast Boy asked Raven. "I'm fine, can we go somewhere not so loud?" She asked over the noise. "The tower?" Beast Boy offered. "No." Raven said quickly. "I mean, can we just go somewhere just the two of us?" She asked. "Of course, Rae." Beast Boy said and put his arm around her while they walked toward the exit.
        "Does anything hurt?" Robin asked Starfire as she sat on the couch. "I'm alright Robin, you have inquired this question many times since we arrived at home." Starfire answered. "Alright, let's watch this movie." Cyborg rubbed his hands together. "This movie isn't even that scary. I've seen it." Bee told him. "You've never seen it in 3D." Cyborg said with a childlike grin. "Big deal." Bee joked. Robin brought the sodas to the table and pressed play. Starfire giggled happily as the movie began. "Where are our friends?" Starfire asked Robin in a whisper. "I don't know, Star." Robin whispered back. As the movie started to get intense Bee grabbed Cyborg's arm. "Not scary?" Cyborg taunted her in a soft voice. "Shut up." She giggled back. Everyone jumped when the front door slid open. "Hey guys." Beast Boy said as he walked in with Raven. "Hey BB." Cyborg greeted him back. They joined the rest of the team on the couch. "Are you sure you're okay?" Beast Boy whispered to Raven. "Yes." She whispered back. A scary apparition appeared on the flat screen and all the girls latched on the their boyfriends except for Raven. Beast Boy screamed and grabbed her like the other girls did. The other guys laughed at Beast Boy. The movie continued like that until the end. "That wasn't so bad." Beast Boy said with a smile. "Oh really? Then it wasn't you screaming like a girl and holding on to Raven?" Robin laughed. "Dude, you were screaming louder than Starfire." Cyborg added in a laugh. Beast Boy crossed his arms like a child. "Raven liked it." Beast Boy said with a smile. Raven's cheeks turned red, but she kept a straight face. "It seems she did." Bee joked. Raven used her powers to zap Beast Boy's butt. "Ouch!" Beast Boy yelled as he jumped in the air. The team laughed as Beast Boy rubbed his bottom. "Hey! The Gemerons are attacking Tameran!" Adena ran in and shouted with Speedy behind. "What?" Starfire asked in shock. "Your planet in completely out of power so they couldn't reach the tower for help. Somehow your father connected to my communicator and told me what was going on. A few hours ago the Gemeron's ship pulled up and a shockwave took out the whole planet's power. A few hours after the Gemerons started firing and the Tameranians were forced to use their low tech weapons. They just left the planet and promised to be back. When they come back they are going to try to destroy Tameran.." Adena trailed off. "No." Starfire gasped. Robin put his hand on her shoulder. "Let's go, do you guys mind calling your team to watch our tower?" Robin asked Speedy and Bee. "I don't mind at all. Speedy you go with them." Bee ordered him. The team ran to the T-ship. "Whatever happens don't split up." Robin ordered. "The attack was short but it was enough to destroy all of Tameran's defense shields and devices. All systems are down. I went to contact the air base to request landing and the system was shut off." Cyborg said as he punched in coordinates on the T ship. "How many?" Starfire asked in a low tone. "How many what, Starfire?" Adena asked back. "How many lives?" Starfire kept calm. "Two hundred were lost in the raid of the control tower." Adena swallowed hard. Starfire slowly nodded and buckled herself into her pod on the ship. Raven looked at Robin as to silently ask if Starfire could handle this. Robin nodded and took off once everyone was inside.

"You okay?" Beast Boy asked. Starfire had been quiet the whole ride. "I am indeed okay." Starfire said. Robin's head jerked up out if surprise. The innocents and purity in Starfire's voice was no where to be found. "Robin, there are Gemerons left behind to guard the east landing so no ships can come in." Adena said suddenly. "How do you know?" Robin asked. "Gemerons are the only species that have traces of fire in their venom. I can feel it." Adena answered. "So you can tell where they are and how close?" Cyborg asked with a raised eyebrow. "Yes, if I focus I can tell where they are exactly." Adena said to Cyborg. "Sweet. How come you didn't tell us before?" Beast Boy asked. "I've always been able to detect heat and fire, but Tameran is a strange planet so I wasn't sure if something was affecting my senses. I did some research and I found out that if in close range Gemerons can breath venom from their wrist to paralyze a victim. Luckily the venom has strong traces of heat." Adena explained as if she was presenting a science project. "Well, we can use that to our advantage. As she said though, they have venom that can paralyze so no close range fights." Robin said and flipped on the cloaking device for the ship. "That won't help." Raven said quickly. "Why not?" Robin asked skeptically. "If they have Tameran's defense systems they can detect whatever passes through the shields, even if they aren't working as a force field." Raven explained. "They are gonna know we are here no matter what." Cyborg agreed. "So we are just gonna have to make us harder to find." Robin said determined. "There is a very hard to detect region of my planet which is very dangerous. No one has made it out of there without losing their lives." Starfire added. "They would suspect we didn't make it." Adena said. "Yea, but what if we really don't make it?" Beast Boy asked worriedly. Raven looked around at everyone to see what they were thinking. "We may not have to go there." Adena said as she got an idea. "What are you suggesting?" Cyborg asked. "Fake a crash." Robin saw what she was thinking. "Yes, Raven could get us out of the ship before it hit the ground after we get through the shields." Adena explained. "That doesn't fix the danger of the Telos sector." Starfire said still with no smile and nothing but plain nothingness. Robin looked at her worriedly. "Is it dangerous in air?" Robin asked her. "Yes, but one of my royal gifts is that the air doesn't effect me there. Raven could shield all of you and follow me through." Starfire said and looked at Raven. "That's a lot on your part, got this?" Cyborg asked her. "Yea." Raven answered blandly. Raven was getting heated for the fear of messing up. "It's okay Rae." Beast Boy touched the glass closest to her. "There it is." Starfire pointed at the patch of woods that had steam coming from the air. "If we are gonna crash we gotta do it now." Cyborg looked over at Robin. Robin nodded and shut the systems off. No one screamed, no one gasped, all that happened was everyone grabbed their seats and shut their eyes. Raven used her powers and put a shield on everyone. All the sudden their was a gasp. Robin looked back to see Starfire being electrocuted. "Star!" He yelled. "Loose wiring! It must've flipped when you cut the power." Cyborg explained frantically. "I can't use my powers on her it'll electrocute everyone!" Raven yelled. Starfire shook violently. "Cut back on the power!" Beast Boy yelled. "I'm trying it won't shut on!" Robin screamed back. "System is fried, it's from the acid in the steam in this air!" Cyborg told him. "We are about to crash!" Speedy yelled. "Raven!" Beast Boy yelled worriedly. Raven panicked and shielded everyone and lifted them out. Starfire was left in the ship when it crashed.
