Luke's POV
I had begun hanging around with Alexia and Daniella. I asked them if Kamila was dating the guy that I saw her with and unfortunately they informed me that it was true. They weren't so bad. At first I had judged them for being shallow fake girls, but now I could see that they were kind. I will admit, Alexia was also kinda cute.
It was the last period of the day and I had no idea where the art room was located. I noticed Kamila walking outside of the building alone, finally without that boyfriend of hers... I decided to chase after her and ask for assistance. I called out her name and she turned around with a surprised expression.
"Luke. I didn't expect you to remember my name."
"How could I forget? We're coffee buddies, remember?." I let out with a chuckle, attempting to crack her frown. "Anyway I was just wondering if you could help me find the art room? I'm hopeless at navigating."
"Yeah, sure. I actually have art now too." She said with a weak smile.
"Thanks. I think we'll be great friends." I said as I winked to her.
Friends. Of course I wanted to be Kamila's friend, but I couldn't deny that I also wanted to wrap my arms around her waist, holding her close against my chest and trail kisses down her neck. But she was taken, and I can't imagine why any guy would let her go.

Kamila's POV
Friends? Well there goes my last shred of hope. I bet he wouldn't want to just be 'friends' with Aleixa. I wish he didn't have to be so perfect, it only made it harder for me to imagine us as nothing but friends.
I pulled out my sketch book and made my way to my usual seat. I sat down and shortly Luke followed, sitting beside me.
"I thought you were only staying in Melbourne for a few weeks?" I asked.
"I was. That was before my grandparents got sick. My mum and I are going to stay here and look after them until they're better."
"Oh.. Well I hope they get better soon."
"Yeah, me too. I just wish, I wish we could stay in Melbourne for longer. My mum's job makes us move around a lot, that was until grandpa's heart attack.."
Luke's once energetic smile faded into a sorrowful frown.
"Why did you choose to do art?" I asked, attempting to lighten the conversation.
"Well I enjoy drawing, or in some cases, scribbling down my thoughts. Not everything can be put into words." He paused before looking up at me with a smile. "And what about you Kamila? Why do you choose to do art?"
"If I'm being honest, I just think it's fun to draw and paint." He turned to me with humour in his eyes. "Hey there's nothing wrong with doing it for fun, just because your answer makes mine look shallow." I said with a laugh.
He let out a small chuckle before continuing. "I know, I know. I actually think it's kinda cute that you do it just for the sake of being fun."
"Um, thanks" I said sheepishly in a quiet voice. I felt the blush crawling upon my cheeks. I faced my head down before he could notice.

Luke's POV
She was making this hard. Everything she did was adorable. She has a boyfriend.. I had to keep reminding myself. I needed to find out just how close they were. Who knows, maybe I stood a chance.
"So who's that guy you're always hanging out with?"
"Oh that's Calum." She smiled as she said his name. "He's great"
Well that just felt like a plunge to the heart. I guess there's no more excuses, they're dating. Yet somehow, I just wasn't ready to give up on her yet. Maybe the only way to reach her, is through jealously...
