The Diary of Ruby Jones (Liam Payne Fanfiction)

The Game Begins.

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was emotional. Me and dad went to mum and Dan's grave with a beautiful bunch of flowers for both of them. We made the grave look beautiful, but I must say it already did. They had so many good friends and their graves always looked beautiful, just how they would love it. We stayed there for about an hour and an half. I loved sitting there talking to Dan. He is 3 years older than me and he was always so protective. Mum was a women like no other, she was one in a million.

We were saying goodbye when I noticed Liam just walking away from a grave and he saw me, "hi Ruby"

"hi, how are you?"

"fine thanks, just saying hi to my mum. She died 11 years ago today"

"really? I'm here seeing my mum and brother who died 11 years ago today"

"oh, that's weird"

"I know"

He smiled and built up the courage to ask, "if you don't mind me asking, how did they die?"

"umm, well, she was taking my brother to his swimming lesson and they were in a car accident"

"wait. Where abouts?"

"the roundabout near the duck pond"

"oh my god. My mum was in a car accident there with a van and another car"

Yep. You wouldn't believe it but Liam and I's mum and my brother died 11 years ago today in the same car accident. We were most likely together when we were at the scene and the hospital and yet we had no idea.

"I think I remember you. You were the girl who, no don't worry"

"the girl who got pulled from the room screaming and shouting? Yeah that was me" He smiled a gentle smile.

"yeah that's the one"

We both said goodbye and got in our separate cars.

So to today. I was back at work today and Harry and I think Niall, the blonde one came in and asked for me but I thought you have only known me a couple of days, why are you asking for me? It turns out that it was about to get good for me.

"Ruby! We have a bit of a favour to ask you"

"go on then" I found it easier to talk to these two better than Liam but I reckon that's because I think Liam is the bestest thing on the planet but you know.

"well you know Liam has a girlfriend called Lucy"

"yeah?"

"well she is a bit of a bitch you see and she has cheated on Liam but because he is such a good guy he just thinks they're rumours and she has him wrapped round her little finger" Niall bitched.

"oh I see and where do I come into this?"

"Liam likes you, he mentioned about your mum and his mum"

"oh yeah"

"so the idea is that you become bf's with Lucy and show Liam who she really is"

"umm, I'm not sure if I'm ok with that" I really wasn't, I mean that's not me, pretending to be someone I'm not and I don't like being dishonest.

"It won't be for long, we are planning the rest but all you have to do is become close to her"

"well, umm, ok then"

"yes! You are the best Ruby" and with that Harry and Niall hugged me then left and obviously the first thing I done was call Georgia, who went on and on about how much of a great idea it would be because then I could get with Liam, but I didn't want to do it that way.

But later on the night was when we were all meeting up for our night out. As Harry and Georgia were already out and Liam and Lucy were sorting themselves out, Niall came and picked me up.

"looking good Ruby"

"why thanks Niall, you don't look too bad yourself"

The couple of times I have met Niall, I have learned he is such a flirt. He took my hand and we got in the taxi waiting outside to go to the club.

It didn't take long and Niall paid for me to get in and everything so I actually had a very cheap night, I think I have most of the money I left with. Anyways we walked in and we could see Georgia and Harry at a table and we went and joined them.

Conversation was good and the drinks were rolling.

"look who's just walked in Ruby" I turned to the door and there stood Liam and I'm guessing Lucy, but she wasn't was I expected at all. She had bleach blonde hair, massive boobs and she was the skinniest thing I have ever seen. She didn't seem like the sort of girl Liam would go for but hey ho.

He saw us and they both walked over and after a bit I thought I would ask Lucy to join me to the bar.

"so how did you and Liam meet?"

"I was at a party and I got on what I thought was this gorgeous guy but in fact it was Liam"

"that's sweet and then you realized you wanted to be with him"

"yeah, kinda"

"kinda?"

"yeah, I have cheated a few times" she winked.

I don't like her already.

It was such a good night and I record Georgia going home with Harry, which is obviously good news, but I didn't recall how I got home until I woke up this morning. When I opened my eyes I wasn't in my bed in my house. I was lying on a bare chest and when I looked up all I could see was a mop of blonde hair.

"I always know how to get ladies in to my bed" Niall's Irish accent ripped through my banging head.

"what the hell am I doing here?"

"well we were having such a good night that I brought you home and yeah we finished the night on a high, if you know what I mean" he said with a wink on the end.

When I looked down he was right and we were both naked, fucking great. That was just what I needed when I woke up.

"round 2?" I hit him on the head and he just frowned at me.

I got dressed and he got me a taxi home which was sweet of him I guess and now I'm home, writing in you. Luckily I have today off so I shall be spending it on the sofa, with a couple of films, Georgia is coming round with Ben and Jerry's so I better get going, Write soon.
