Alright. I've given up on writing reviews. Instead I have decided to make a list for every week in which I place the best stories I've read that week. Other people can use this list if they are looking for new books to read and can't be bothered to sift through the millions of other books here on wattpad, or if they want to discover new ones. I mean, I read maybe 2 new books a day, so I might as well share my favourites, right? I have to warn you though, my taste in books can be a bit... odd/morbid. My all time favourites won't be mentioned, unless I reread them. This first week I will also mention my favourites from the past weeks.
This weeks books:
- Darkness girl: Trickster god by Sam_McGregor. This book is about a young assassin that's on a quest of revenge. She is torn between her everlasting hate for the world and the new friends she's made. This book is completed, but we've been waiting for the sequel/next book in the series for quite some time now.
- Crescendo by Lana_sky. This book is about a girl who's been owned by a maffia leader for the last 4 years. By chance she is kidnapped and manages to escape. Now she's going to fight for her freedom and revenge on the man that once owned her, helped by a guy she calls Lucifer. This book is ongoing, the story is updated frequently (sometimes more then once a day). Contains mature content.
- Quintspinner by DianneGreenlay6. In this book a girl comes into the possession of a magic ring. She has to fight her way through a hostile world full of traitorous fiancées and handsome navy boys, all the while protecting the magic spinner rings. This book is finished and has a sequel. Perhaps a bit of mature content, due to some violent scenes. A mix between the genres Historical and Fantasy.
- The Devil Inside Me by roxybx. A girl is tortured by her stepfather and finally manages to escape as her wolf awakens. This wolf is rather bloodthirsty and the only one who seem able to calm it are an old man with his two dogs and the captain of an army of werewolf that turns out to be her mate. This is a werewolf story that's far from cliché. It's ongoing with I think weekly updates. It contains mature content.
- Hard Light by Skyhuntress. This book is definitely worth a try. It's about a world in which there exist people that can cristallise light. A dying race because a parasite turns them into lightless, or worse, shatter them so they become grey, bloodthirsty killers. She has been researching some ruins and is accepted into the League, lead researchers to the cure against the parasite. There she finds out that not everything is black and white. On going but regular updates.
- Brotherhood of Cain by Makingmyownworld. This is a combination between werewolf, mafia/gangsters and an odd romance. This book is definitely my favourite of the last few weeks. It's a hard book to describe, and the summary doesn't really describe the full story so you'll just have to describe it. This book contains mature content. It's on going but with regular updates.
Other books to check out which I liked:
- Infection, selection and revolution. All 3 books are from shadowcheah.
- Linked by lozzykiwi
- Balconial Conversations exoticfinn
- Perdition by Hendrixx. Now I would have put this book on the list with my favourites, but it isn't updated regularly. Contains mature content.
- Defect by muffinkoko
- Saving Everest by Teenagexnightmare
- Chemical Numbers by Indigo_Night
Have fun discovering these books!
