Before I begin my list I would just like to point out all the books contain mature content, unless mentioned otherwise. And when I say mature content I mean sex and/or detailed descriptions of violence and gore. I won't just label something mature because of curse words, because this is something you can easily read over. Like I might have mentioned before, I have developed a slightly... fucked up taste in books. Anyway, here are this weeks favourites:
- Tiangou: a girl gets a magical artifact that is hunted after in a world where war is waiting around the corner. There are some violent scenes and a few monstrous people. Ongoing. Fantasy
- Into the darkness by KFBreene. A girl (why is the protagonist always a girl?) Has always seen shadows lurking in the dark, but passed them off as her imagination. Then she meets them and they take an interest in her, while she takes an interest in them. First book is completed. Paranormal/sci-fi.
- the legend of Scarlett Grey. There are only two chapters so far, but at least semi-regular updates. A girl with a never ending bloodlust is searching for someone. Werewolf story, presumably with mates.
- the fighter's girl: a girl who gets abused wants to learn how to fight back and calls in the help of badboy and streetfighter I forgot his name.
- the death game: a girl is murdered and you slowly get to know the key players in this... game of sorts. And while you get more and more information, more people are murdered. You view everything from the pov of different persons, all with a different role. Victim, accomplice, friend, etc. Ongoing. So far the murderer, the motive and most things about the murders are still unknown.
- breaking the bad boy. Equally as hart breaking as it is endearing, and pleasing for my little badboy infatuation. A broken girl and her broken ex-friend and crush with a douchy attitude have to cooperate and learn to heal each other. Completed. I think the content doesn't actually classify as mature, as long as you skip any nightmares or flashback she has, because they contain some pretty graphic descriptions sometimes.
- Saving Everest: the most popular guy in high school tries to commit suicide but fails. When he returns he befriends a happy girl that's ignored by the whole school and has her own problems.
Other goodbooks I've read this week:
- thread
- boys of the dark (hilarious and a bit... odd. No mature content so far.)
