And the price for most disturbing but still amazingly written book known to mankind goes toooooooooo.... Death becomes us by TheShadowDreamer (previously known as 30secondstodeath). God, that reminded me of a card in the game 'cards against humanity' which says 'what would your grandma find disturbing but oddly charming.
Anyway, I love this writer. I mean, usually I'm not a fan of boyxboy stories, but her Bloody Dance series are AMAZING. But this isn't about those series, it's about her book death becomes us.
Even the introduction thingy is awesome and fun to read. I mean.. it doesn't tell you a lot about the book, but it's enough to make it intriguing and to make you want to read the book.
And then you start to read the book and well you realise how insanely disturbing it is, but you can't stop, and before you know it you've reached the end of the book and you're like: "What just happened! Nooooo, that can't be! I want to read further!" You know, when I told my friends about the book I was reading they commented on how fucked up it sounded and how it was tipical of me to be reading a book like that. I think I answered something along the lines of: "It's addicting. And it isn't as bad as it sounds... besides, it's a good book."
On wattpad about 99% of the books contains a love story. Okay, make that all I've read so far except maybe 2 or 3. And that's a lot, I can tell you that (I actually think somewhere around 300 or 400 books. It could be much more, it could be less). Anyway, after a while you start to realise that, eventhough there are plot twists and such, it'll just end like all the other love stories where they realise they love each other so incredibly much, make up, do other stuff and live happily ever after. Or sometimes one of them die and the other is depressed and falls in love in the next book. I'm sorry if I'm insulting your book right now, it's probably still an amazing book with all the lovey dovey stuff, but it sometimes it gets a bit tiring. This book has none of that. There is a bit of a love story, a girl has a crush on the head character, yada, yada, yada. But the head character doesn't have a crush back on her, nor does he really develop one. This book is more about the action and about the games Skylar (the head character) and his friend Jake. And in the end Jade (the girl who has a crush on him). And it has a really original ending. I mean, what's more original then killing your best friend, being killed by him and then live happily ever after in hell with the girl and your best friend. Where Lucifer (or lord Kazuki) will probably be his best friend and where he'll probably be able to continue his games. But that's beside the point.
I don't know if I would recommend this book though, you need to be used to a bit of violence, torturing, killing and well... you get it, to like this book. It's an amazing book, but it can be a little bit to disturbing for some people. But give it a try!
