To a New Beginning (Klaroline FanFic)

Chapter 6

Caroline's POV

I woke up, with amassive headache, not from a hangover though. This one was from a vervain shot. I am going to kill Tyler! 

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I was in a bed but where? I looked around and noticed the open room with rugs spread around, a desk, and book shelves full of journals. Of course. I was in the Salvatore house, Stefan's room to be exact. Now I really am going to kill him! Why would he bring me to one of the last places I want to be. Back to Mystic Falls. 

I cimbed out of the bed and started walking downstairs. Until I heard them talking. 

-conversation Carolinee hears starts here-

"She has her humanity off" 

"So we get her to turn it back on!"

"And how do you plan to do that?" 

"It's Caroline it can't be that hard that girl has a lot of feelings"

"Yes but you weren't there when she turned them off. She was crushed and she couldn't handle the feelings."

"She is strong. She will pull through it."

"Klaus died! How do you expect her to 'pull through it'"

"This is Klaus we are taking about! She wanted him dead a year ago!" 

"And I wanted you dead  a couple years ago too!" 

"It's not the same and plus obviously he's not dead so why are we even talking about it?" 

"She has a right to know but we should tell he when her humanity is back on."

"And if we can't turn it back on?" 

"We use the information about Klaus to turn it back on. It'll probably spark some emotion she can grip that and then he emotions will turn on."

I didn't know what was going on. Tyler had told me there was new information on Klaus but he was dead. At least that's what I was told. Until someone just said he isn't..but that can't be true. 

No. They just want to turn my humanity back on. They just want to have precious caring sweet Caroline back. Well no thank you. 

I walked down the stairs and headed to the door as quietly as I could. Which doesn't work in a house full of freaking vampires by the way. 

Damon was in front of me instantly. "Where, do you think you are going blondie?" He asked 

"I think" I started, "That you can not keep me here against my will." I said

"Well think again. We need to talk." He grabbed my arm and pulled me to the living room. In there, was Tyler, Elena, Stefan, Bonnie, Jeremy, and now me and Damon. Great.

"Hey look, the gang's all here." I said bitterly. 

"Caroline. This is really important you need to hear this" Elena started.

"I heard enough. I heard you all at the stairs. And if you think that you are going to turn my switch back on or whatever, then think again. I am over being the sad girl who lost her boyfriend. People die. Hell we are vampires. We are already dead. So it's not like I won't see everyone who has died in my life on the other side." I said

"But Caroline that's what you need to hear. Klaus..Klaus isn't dead." Bonnie said. 

"Oh I heard somone say that. And by the way, if that is what you are telling me so I can grasp my emotions and turn my switch back on and pull through it," I said mocking their words, "then this is some cruel joke and you all make me sick." 

"It's not a joke. But Care please come back." Elena said. 

"No okay? Don't you get it? Any of you? I am allowed to switch it off when the person I loved died. Damon did it enough times for Katherine. Elena did it when Jeremy died. And by the way I am just embracing being a vampire. You guys should stop worrying about all the stupid things that are going on in Mystic Falls and start being vampires. There are a ton out there who have perfectly normal vampire lives because they don't live here. And I plan to be one of them." 

I turned and walked out. No one stopped me. I think I shocked them. 

My phone rang and I checked it. Just a text. From Rebekah. Why would she text me?

Rebakah: Grille. Now. 

Okay weird. I sped there and saw her walk into the alley. I followed. 

"What?" Was all I asked. 

"Wow Care, even with your humanity off I thought you might appreciate seeing me." 

"Well you remind me off Klaus so.." I trailed off. 

She teared up a little. "Yes, Niklaus..Well speaking of which, I need you to come with me. I need you to help me. I am taking care of Hope but I have business to do with Elijah. I need you to take care of her." She stated. 

"Why can't Hayley? Or a hybrid? Or I don't know, any one else on this planet but me?" I said annoyed.

"Because one, Hayley is being watched and we can't risk someone seeing her go to Hope. Two, all of Klaus' hybrids are now unsired because of his death. And three, you are the only one we can trust. Plus she is a baby Caroline. Klaus' baby. So pull yourself together. Here is the address." She said handing me a piece of paper. "I will be back in two days. That is it. Now go and when you get there, get rid of the maid who is taking care of her now. Can't risk her spreading the word and now that your humanity is off I hear you don't mind killing." 

"Gladly." I smirked. "I am hungry today. See you in two days." 

"Take my car. Elijah is getting me here and yours is in some random state. We will find it and send it back to New Orleans." She said 

"Got it. Thanks." I said. 

"Wow with your switch off and you actually said thanks." 

"I can have no humanity and have manners. I may be a bitch but I am also still Caroline. If that makes any sense." 

I walked to her car and drove off towards the address.
