Today started off as any other Saturday does. I woke up, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and thought about taking a shower, laughed and went back to bed for thirty minutes. After I woke up again I rebrushed my long black hair and tried to decide on what to wear. I ended up with purple ripped skinny jeans and a My Chemical Romance shirt with black converse. Finally, I dragged myself downstairs to have some of my mom's amazing pancakes.

"Mom, are the pancakes done yet?" I questioned as I walked down the stairs, jumping over the thrid step from the bottom to try and land on the floor but, since I have no luck, I fell flat on my face with a loud thunk. Strangely enough, she didn't answer. "Mom?" I started to panic becuase no matter what my mom was always the first one up. Grabbing the bat that's hidden behind the vase by the stairs, I inched my way towards the dark kitchen with my bat raised. Then I feel a presence behind my so, acting on instinct, I swung the bat at where I think their head is and I hear a satisfying thunk and a string of cuss words. I quickly turn around and run into the kitchen, automatically turning the lights on as I enter.

"Surprise!!"  Two people yell in front with a slightly irritated one echoing from behind me. After my heart slows down I realize that the two people in my kitchen are my parents. Then I have a small epiphany when I recognize the voice of the peson cussign behind my as my brother Ray who is pissed off at me.

"What was that for?" Ray yelled at me while using on hand to help him get up since the other one was currently clutching the side of his head that the bat had hit.

"Not my fault! You shouldn't have tried to sneak up on me! You could've been trying to kill me!"

"Don't give me any ideas." He muttered while leaning on one of the counters, rubbing his throbbing skull.

"What was that?" I said while slowly raising my bat.

"Nothing. Happy 18th Birthday!!!" Ray yelled while glomping me. I struggle to support both of our weight so we crashed to the floor while my parents laughed at us.

"Why are you laughin' Cappin'?"

"Oh I don't know? Maybe it's becauase-" My mom started.

"You two are both-" My dad said interrupting my mom's sentence.

"Too cute!" They finished together which was kind of creepy. Almost like they planned it.

"Wait it's my birhtday?" I yelled while wiggling out from underneath my brother.

"Duh, why else would we bake you a cake and yell surprise," Mike muttered. Sheesh what a Debby downer, I thought to myself. The rest of his words finally registered and I noticed the chocolater cake sitting on the table.

"Holy crap!" I yelled startling everyone, "I didn't know you guys could cook!" This earned me some dirty looks but it was true. We ate takeout and fastfood until I was ten. That was when I taught myself to cook since the only thing my mom could make is pancakes.

"Shut up and eat!" My dad snapped at me but I couldn't really blame him. I would be grumpy too if I had to wake up and see me everyday. So, to make him happy, I sat down and let my mom cut my cake. As soon as she handed my my plate I took a few bites before I noticed that something was off.

"Guys, who put garlic in my cake?" I was a tad suspicous becuase I had never tasted anything like this before and it definately wasn't garlic but they didn't need to know that I know that.

"That's not garlic it's poison." My dad answered me with a smile on his face. I looked him for a moment waiting for him to laugh and when he didn't I realized I was in trouble.

"Why?" I whispered as breathing slowly became harder to do and my vision started to go hazy.

"She only has a minute left, we might as well tell her." Ray said turning to my mom before he looked back at me with a look of disgut on his face.

"Fine," my mom huffed, "we made a deal with somebody that could only be paid with a life and we couldn't give up Ray so we decided on you. Our annoying little girl."

"Why? It's not like I was the worst kid. I never pissed in your coffee but now you're making me wish that I had." I struggled to say as my breathing became even nore labored.

"The reason why darling," my dad said sneering at the word darling, "is that we hate you with a passion and one last thing have fun in hell." He finished while pushing me off my chair, causing me to crash to the ground,

My last thought before I died was that if I ever saw them again I would show them a new meaning to the word hell. Then, everything was dark, cold, and I felt empty. Almost like I was floating.
