I once wrote of words then dammed

I spoke of a construct not my own

I have my own and words behind it crammed

The other was of mud and stick, mine cement and stone

I spoke of a construct not my own

Her words were stuck for fear of rage

The other was of mud and stick, mine cement and stone

My words had no power before the damming stage

Her words were stuck for fear of rage

Survival cut her words across no longer so intense

My words had no power before the damming stage

It trickled then but now there's power so much more immense

Survival cut her words across no longer so intense

I have my own and words behind it crammed

It trickled then but now there's power so much more immense

I once wrote of words then dammed
