Sugarpelt's Forest Adventure: Book 1

CHAPTER 6: NEW MEMBER

Silverpaw hopped down from highrock. He tried to find the apprentice's den. After a few attempts he found it. Silverpaw starred at all the apprentices feeling nervous. "Uhh...hello." Silverpaw mewed. "Hey." everyone says. "Where do I sleep?" he asked me. "Anywhere." I said. He chose a spot in between me and Cloudpaw.

Woken up by the beam of light shining in my eyes, I see that Silverpaw is up. "Goodmorning Silverpaw." I mewed with a yawn. "Good morning Sugarpaw." He mewed as he licked his fur. "Do you want to go and see if anyone is still sleeping?" I mewed. "Sure!" Silverpaw said. We here a rustle in the den, it was Cloudpaw. She was half awake. In the sun her black and gray pelt shined. "Where are you two going. " a loud voice says behide us. We turned around. He startled Silverpaw, but I knew that half ear anywhere, it was Ashfire.

"Silverpaw this is Ashfire." I said as I walk back in the den. "Goodmorning dudes!" Cloudpaw says in her loud ways. "Morning!" Silvepaw and I said at the same time. Silverpaw walks of to the other side of the den annd grooms himself. I hear Cloud paw mumble somthing. I strain my ears to listen. "Cute. I can already tell he is loving. Cute, so so cute." Cloudpaw mumbled. "What was that?" I interrupted. "Nothing!" She answered quickly. "Mmhhhmm." I purred.

Me, Cloudpaw and Silverpaw went outside, Cloudpaw insisted to be in the middle of me and Silverpaw. "So, uh..hey Silverpaw." Cloudpaw said akwardly. "Uh..hi Cloudpaw." Silverpaw answered back. "Guys look the patrol is back!" I said excitedly. "Did they bring back any fresh kill?" Cloudpaw mewed. "What is fresh kill?" Silverpaw said confusingly. Me and Cloudpaw explained that fresh kill is just mice and other stuff.

After we ate food we went back to our dens. "Clan meeting!" Graceatar mewed. "It is time to decide who will be Silverpaw's mentor." Gracestar mewed. Ashfire stood proud hopping he will be Silverpaw's new mentor. "Silverpaw's new mentor will be.........(dramatic pause)Sunpelt!" Gracestar mewed. Sunpelt stood proudly. Ashfire glared at me. He looked at me like it was my fault.

"You guys should get to bed, you have training at sunhigh." Sunpelt mewed. Tonight I let Cloudpaw sleep next to Silverpaw, so I slept next to Leopardpaw and Redpaw.

The next day we started training, Gracestar switched my mentor to Sunpelt. "Come young ones we need to start training." Sunpelt mewed in a calming voice. After we awaken we pad off into the forest. "Okay, first we need to work on your battle stance."Sunpelt mewed. I crouch down in front of Silverpaw. "Like this Sunpelt?"me and Silverpaw mewed. I swung at his paws. He swung back. I dodged his attack, as I fell to my feet I jumped on his back. Silverpaw steped out the way. He came padding back trying to attack. I dodged his attacks.
